Our next Development Update Livestream featuring an Alpha Two Artisanship Preview will be Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 11am Pacific! (Click here to convert this to your local time.)

Similar to our past streams, we'd love to gather some questions from you to answer live! Please submit your question for our development team in the thread below, and we'll select 10 of them at random to answer during the end of our livestream. In order to accommodate a variety of questions from our community, please only post ONE question below - the more direct, and succinct the better (think one to two sentences)! Submissions end Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11am Pacific, so we can select your questions before the broadcast.

    Is it correct that Intrepid is building the western continent first and then the eastern continent is coming afterwards, or is that not the right way to think about the game's direction of development?

    With this being pretty much the last "real" stream before the end of alpha2 sale (if you do a recap again this year for december), I hope you provide PC requirements for A2. Or at least give a date for when you'll do so.

    Last stream Steven said "When stolen by attackers, the supplies become stolen/corrupted glint and/or stolen resources...", can Steven clarify what supplies would become stolen/corrupted glint? I imagine it's when crates carrying commodities are broken, but would like clarification.

    Which biomes/zones will be available at the start of alpha two? Is it still around half the world map?

    Is Bacon still on the team? Can we see him on stream again? I pretty much always miss Bacon.

    Will every crafting profession be able to make a form of consumable?

    How will raw material gathering work in regard to item quality/rarity? In other games, the low level zones have leveled herbs/minerals which produces the same end product. Will we see different nodes within biomes have rarer resources or mobs that higher quality/leveled goods can be gathered from?

    Also, with the crafting mini game, what happens if you lose? Can oozes spawn for a bad alchemy attempt, or your food is poisoned when cooked badly?

    We know some things in AoC are going to require coordination on a large scale, like raids and node development. But, if most players/guilds are unwilling or unable to meet those coordination requirements, will Intrepid step in to make those things easier?

    What is the intended interaction with HP and Mana potions in Ashes of Creation, assuming you're going to have them at all? Are they going to be big heals on long cooldowns or are they going to be smaller heals that you can use far more often?

    What plans do you have to mitigate the supply bottleneck that crafters may run into due to high-tier processing goods being gated by the much higher barrier to becoming a Master Processor, the unique combination of a player gaining control of a Freehold while also choosing to master in a processing profession, and only allowing their Family/Guild to process there?
