Paying $100 for a game in alpha always felt like a big ask, but when I read it was coming to steam for only $49.99, I thought yeah I'll pay that and play some AoC. So I came to the website ready to buy my alpha access but can't seem to find the option to make a purchase at that price anywhere. I assume steam will take a cut so I wanted to buy directly from Intrepid to support the developers but I don't seem to have that option here.

    Dec 11th to Xmas. 42.99 Steam sale. After that 49.99 from Steam. If you want to buy from Intrepid, it is a cool Benjamin.

    Just to confirm, the new purchase options arrive December 11, both on our website and on Steam at the same time.
