Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
@Orym Personally, I would think that natural hp/mana regen should be very slow without items or spells. Like 3-5mins to regen 100%. Maybe .3% hp/mana per second. 30s rest for 100%, or something like 3% hp/mana per second, seems like a good spot. The devs will find the exact spots through testing/balancing. It really… -

Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
I wouldn't want to take breaks after every fight just because my health dropped below a certain number or just because I was knocked down! To me, it would make sense to have to rest after venturing for 3 hours straight. It could serve as a window for people to stretch their legs and take a quick break. Maybe after 3 hours… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
I enjoy eating regenning after fights, something along the lines of 1 sit for 20-30 sec for every 2-3 mins of combat. The more important thing to me would be to see a way to speed up CD timers outside of combat with a similar mechanic. Nothing is less fun than winning a pvp engagement only to lose the next one because 3,5,… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
Well even what i was proposing was something like 3%/s. thats 30s from zero to full, 15s resting from half, 7.5s resting from a quarter. Still not that bad, this isn't even consuming food. Another nice thing about something like the resting rate is that they can use it as an anchor to base other timings around. Basically… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
3% mana per second sitting, 1% standing. So, 30s 2~2.5% health per second sitting (I'm used to this ramping up the longer you sit, and quite a lot, so that 'recovering 80% health' isn't even twice as long as recovering 30%, sometimes), 0.4% standing. This is normally less than 30 seconds, therefore. No universal passives… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
I like the idea of having to "rest" (not necessarily sit) in between pulls. Not for minutes at the time, but at least letting the character have a breather. I am not very fond of the idea of having to clog my inventory with tons of food and water (ala WoW vanilla style), but resting a bit makes sense. That said, I am (of… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
Im going to point out the part im talking about. The commission system shown literally makes you move over the map... On the point of you seeing him sittings to regen mana and hp he is actually rping and having fun which is fine. You cant' use that as a point all western gamers want that.... You are missing the point, yes… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
So if I'm understanding your perspective correctly, you think that down time should exist. You just worry that it will be taken too far. If that is the case, then we are on the same page. What I am considering good would be something like this: 1 - I arrive in an area with a lot of spread out mobs that are around my lvl 2… -
Re: Resting after a Battle/Fight.
This depends on mob distribution and difficulty for me. In games where mobs are in packs (BDO, Onigiri, Neverwinter sort of) and the 'skill' is to arrange the pack and beat them all, I don't care about resting, because during that time, you're not usually doing anything. You're intended to 'defeat them all at the same…
