Re: Serious concerns! Need Leadership communication!!
3) Node balancing with buildings
Solution: Honestly, I don’t have an answer here, but the overly complicated reliance on all professions needed to craft something at the apprentice/journeyman level is problematic at best.
I agree on this 110%. I my mind, for an ideal new player experience (first 20 levels I'd say), they should be able to gather/process/craft an item without depending on other players. This is mainly because the system, as it is now, allow us to get up to 5 Apprentice Professions which isn't enough to craft an item because you need lot more profession to gather/process/etc.
The way they designed the profession system with only 2 Grandmaster, 3 Master, 4 Journeyman and 5 Apprentice is probably because they want people to depend on other players, which is fine by me, but not at early levels. We should rely on other professions starting at level 30 or 40.
Re: Serious concerns! Need Leadership communication!!
How about a checkbox on the UI that we can check to "practice". It still uses resources, just doesn't create the item. B
I think recycling/dismantling coming eventually will fix this issue.
Re: Serious concerns! Need Leadership communication!!
I don’t understand why processing doesn’t just work like crafting and let you put in varied rarities of materials and see what the results will be. It’s weird and needlessly clunky and frequently makes epic/legendary materials feel bad to have (I’m looking at you epic Slate, you worthless garbage you).

Re: Exploitation Action Promises
A big goal of Phase 2 is to test the economy. If you exploit systems that flood unintended rewards into the economy, you're tainting the testing.
This is a golden opportunity for Steven to stand by his word and show his true colors for how Intrepid will deal with exploiters, botters and cheaters.

Re: Dear Intrepid, you are unnecessarily killing a lot of people's desire to test the game for you.
Look, this is an alpha - a real alpha, not some polished marketing build. It's not about delivering tons of content yet; it's about testing systems, fixing bugs, and gathering feedback to build the foundation for the full game.
When you say, "Where’s all the content?" it’s like asking why a house under construction doesn’t have furniture yet. The devs are laying bricks and installing plumbing, not decorating. If content is your main draw, it’s okay to step back and wait for later stages when they’re further along.
But right now, the focus is progress, not perfection. The devs are putting in the work; they’re not holding back some magical vault of content. This is just the reality of game development.

Re: Exploitation Action Promises
There's no fine line between testing exploits and just abusing them for gain. Polar absolutely continued to abuse the War rewards even after it was made clear the activity was exploitive. As a result, the economy on Vyra is largely ruined and there are no freeholds left to purchase. These are the same type of players that use a duping bug repeatedly for self gain rather than reporting it and moving on. The original post might be TLDR but if there are no consequences for repeatedly exploiting then players will be emboldened to do it even more. By far the most common thread at the moment is regarding player griefing and exploits which is kind of sad for a community testing an environment.

Re: Instanced PVP (Arena and/or Battlegrounds)
Are the main farming spots empty? Cause from what I've heard they're packed nearly constantly. This map is going to be humongous shown evident in Pirates stream, OW is going to be fairly stale after a while
The same will be true for the final game, where metros will have the best top lvl content, which will funnel people together, just as HH and Carphin (and I think Befallen) do now.
We will have instanced pvp. There's literally no reason to test it rn, when we all know which archetypes are OP, that there's also 0 real balancing of gear or those archetypes and there's also economy to test.Could look into putting in some sort of instanced PvP mode or even an event, just to encourage more PvP in this supposedly PvX game, this is an Alpha it is probably the best time to test this
We'll get to test instanced pvp at some point in P3, but only after a ton of other systems that are more important than "sit in my little room with my little enemy, hitting each other".

[Cosmetic Pet Idea] Potsworth, A Witch’s Little Cauldron
Heya~!
I brewed up a little idea with someone in the Ashes of Creation Discord, and I didn’t want it to get lost in there, so I wanted to share it here.
A Witch’s Little Cauldron (Potsworth)
A loyal little construct that adopted you as its new owner after its previous owner, a renowned witch, went to gather ingredients and never returned. With stubby legs and a constant puff of steam, it clanks along happily, brewing magical concoctions and filling the air with enchanting, otherworldly scents. Potsworth seems to love adventuring with you. Do you love Potsworth too?
Additional Stuff:
- A Witches Cauldron, but Dog.
- Has funny stubby legs, loves adventuring with you.
- Could have silly idle animations where it brews things up - Little Duckling swimming in the pot?
What do you think of Potsworth? Would you want to adventure with him?
Just to clarify, we’re talking about a Cosmetic Pet here, which doesn't provide any gameplay functionality.

Re: Let's talk about crafting in Ashes as it currently works.
My two cents on this, and feedback I provided to Intrepid is vendors should not sell any item above crude level. It really hurts crafters of all type. From the perspective of a Scribe, the vendor sells scrolls much cheaper than I can make them.
