There have been a lot of hot button discussions in the community recently about the secondary Archetype system, which is why I want to ask:
Does the team see any potential issues with secondary augments maybe not feeling impactful enough to make each of the 64 classes feel distinct and satisfying? And how does the team approach expandability in the future with potential new classes joining the lineup?

regarding quests, do you have anything planned other than going from marker to marker like today's mmorpg?
I was wondering if all the quests would be mentioned and easy to spot, or if there would be hidden quests?

Potentially hot take, but I hope they don't go for the 64 class system and take a different route. If they go through with this system, it will definitely hurt the expandability of the class system a lot in the long run (when a new class releases, every other class has to get new augments and it will be an impossible task for devs the longer the game runs) and I honestly don't think the augments are going to be as meaningful as people want them to be, judging from the examples we got so far.
That being said, definitely going to play a rogue once that releases, but for the time being going to try out everything
tbh if the 64 classes are true classes each with its own identity, Then adding new class wont be needed, at least for the first 2-3 years. And after even 1 new class will add a lot sub classes options.

Yeah, some tools for that would definitely be nice. But I feel like we'd need a whole new forum revamp for those to get implemented. Maaaybe Intrepid will do that before betas, but I feel like we won't see any of that during A2.I'm probably dreaming here, I just think we need something that keeps the loud disinformation in check.
And all the people who might be able to correct stuff will most likely be testing A2 instead, so the things will definitely get worse

With the merchant escort quests, is there any plan to tie those into auction house purchases? (eg. a player could buy an item/ items from another node and pay more to create quest in the other node to transport the items)

Good sentiment, but Intrepid probably wants new users to be able to mingle with the rest of the community easily, so they clear up their confusion more quickly. So I don't think restricting them to post only there would be received well. But yeah, adding a "New user questions" subforum in General Discussion might already go a long way.one thing could be new users should have a new user questions area. Then to be able to post on the general forums your account must be x days old.I still think that might be better than having no tool to call out misinformation if you're late to the conversation, except for readers who browse the entire thread.
Chances are dislikes won't happen. Too much negativity. But the only better solution I could come up with would be threaded replies, and that would be too much work to implement...Perhaps subcomments that are fully distinct from the rest of the thread replies? I'm probably dreaming here, I just think we need something that keeps the loud disinformation in check.

When will we learn more specifics about how impactful the subclass will affect the primary class? So for example, you recently stated that bard would not be nearly as good a healer as a cleric, but would a bard healing be more analogous to a cleric healer's competency if the bard chose the cleric subclass?

The only good one for a game like Ashes is Log Horizon, because it shows that even if you're a super powerful group of people, you still need to work together with others through politics and coordination. It also shows a world that's much closer to what Ashes is going for, with shops, real estate purchases, party gameplay, etc.
It's also not a soloable game as opposed to SAO, Slime or SL.
