Feedback on the character's movement animation
In today's gameplay video, I came across this comment about the character's animation.
https://youtu.be/lB5euffRa-g?si=wfKf1PRJq3SJDsxV
Do you agree? Has it been confirmed that they have someone specialized in that position working on the animations? I know we’re in an alpha, but it’s true that I don’t see why they shouldn’t start working on these things now rather than leaving it for the end. Could any dev from the game shed some light on this?

Re: Pull off leveling and Artisanship as Immersive
...as only 10% of all players could own oneYou should really listen to Steven explaining that the way the world works and the way they want it to work is not "top 10% of players get all the freeholds". From what I saw so far, some (if not all) of your concerns could be eliminated the moment you listen to Steven talking about a subject of your concernsYou don't have to own a Freehold to Craft on a Freehold.
So far I haven't heard him saying anything that eliminates mine.
Simply because there is no "you definitely will have access to one" - Players owning them will control who has access.
Its not a big concern so far though - its not even set in stone how and who can actually be granted access.
Although doubtful, I still hope that we can band together and buy one. In some form of contract system where you pool resources and the non-owning participants are guaranteed access. (And can take over by paying the taxes in case the owner stops playing w/o transfering it or sth).
I think its a big problem to say that it isn't feasible to get one alone but then not to have a system enforcing at least some things probably agreed upon.
Since you can't even put a bounty on peoples head (good in general) there is no real reprecussion against griefing... (as far as I know)
Re: Battlepass in MMOs
Yes, here's the full context of "if people want BPs - will you make them?". And as you can see by the response, BPs are always associated with shitty monetization practices. The entire chat was yelling "please no".Haha. Well, that link starts without the context of the question that was asked.
LMAO

But even outside of that, the "No BPs" was said within the context that cosmetics will be sold on a market place which is NOT in the form of a BP, as you previously expected.
If Steven wanted to put a BP into the game (even a free one), why would he generalize the answer of "BP is not something we want to introduce".
In other words, Dygz, I think this is just the classic case of "what I think is good should be in the game". We all have those and now you have one too

Re: Battlepass in MMOs
The vid you posted is from 2018, the first year of development.DLC expansions (post-launch releases) are planned on a monthly, quarterly, or six-monthly basis.[1][2]
- The frequency and size of expansions will be based on the popularity and subscription base of the game.[1]
- DLC will not cost anything more than the normal subscription.[3][4]
https://youtube.com/watch?v=-fUWFkMvyHY&t=3758s
- Larger expansions will add new content and increase various aspects of the game.[1][5]
- New content will primarily be introduced through the node system. The goal is for existing content to remain relevant alongside the new content.[6]
Battlepasses have become quite popular in the last 5 years.
2018 is a year or more before Intrepid developed their Battlepass for APOC.
Everything is subject to change. Except no P2W.
Battlepass fits in with a quarterly release of content.
And it's not unusual for Battlepasses to have a free path as well as a premium/paid path.
So... Battlepass is not a major tweak of those quotes.
I got an update for you!

Re: Battlepass in MMOs
For you they aren't.
Its not a npc , pc or an area in game with your character.
Its a interface, like an app or dungeon finder. Something away from your character and your fellow players never see yours.
Used for things we may utilize when picking character skills, or a cash shop or loggin in/out or computer settings and adjustments. Fake to our in game world and characters.

Re: Ranged Mobs: Impossible to Counter if you are in their attack range
We've had this discussion before.I mean, New World was an RPG (don't know what it is now, but it definitely was in 2021-2022) and it required all of those: character skills, player skills, blocks, dodging, quick reactions, accuracy. I don't know how you can say that about all RPGs when it is simply not true.
At release, New World was mostly a Survival Game with some RPG elements cobbled in at the end.
Like turning Soccer into Rugby to try to make it feel like American Football.

You don't have to own a Freehold to Craft on a Freehold.
