Re: Weekly Feedback - 01/20/2025
======================
Alpha Two Phase II Feedback
Top 3-5 Most Important Bugs:
1. Inventory bugs that require mounting/discount or relogging. X.x
2. Random crashes/freezes has been a lot more frequent recently.
3. Hunting (the artisan profession) rarity still not working(?)
Top 3-5 Most Important Feedback Topics:
1. Important resources being too limited and spawn camped. Raptors should be added to either the tropics or the desert to lessen the bottleneck effect.
2. Please do not make mounts permanently killable/add a finit duration to them. There is enough progression reversal in AoC as it is without it. :x
3. Mount scaling - some mounts just feel so ... Unfortunate. Skinwalkers, as an example, look so very cool but are completely useless next to the higher tier horses and all the other t2 mounts.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback!
If you have not spent cash on AoC then it maybe best to wait a couple years for launch and then just spend the $15/month subscription cost and see if there are enough activities fully fleshed out for your solo style. The game could use casual solo players spending $15/month but that segment of the market may not enjoy the PvX nature of the overall situation.

Re: Mount Permadeath Love it or Hate it?
I'm not opposed to having a mount sink in the game. For instance, maybe you can "revive" your mount by consuming another one. I do think that, with all the cool models, I'm inclined to wanting to name my mounts - which in turn would make me REALLY sad if they died and deleted themselves. Having them be costly sounds good though. Speed is very valuable in the game right now.

Probably a wise call for now.
By all means though, check back in later(perhaps when the game enters beta) and see if things have changed to better suit you.

Re: How playable is this game solo?
Plenty of things you can do solo, other than gathering, crafting and processing most likely isn't the most efficient but still can be done. You would be missing out on world bosses and high end dungeons if you never wanted to group though. That being said in time you could become wealthy and just buy most stuff.

Is anyone playing solo that might offer any insights to the experience?
Thanks.
You'll need other players for the items you can't process, the gear you can't craft, the content you can't beat, the levelling spots you want to use, to defend your caravans, and if you want a shot at becoming Mayor.
If that doesn't bother you, then carry on being solo. If you work up enough money, you can get around the processing and crafting issues by just buying what you need.

This is why;whatisthis1 wrote: »
There is a limit to what you can do solo, and thst limit is low in comparison to most other games. It's obvious where teams are needed, and I've been fully accepting of what I can't do alone v. in a group.
You can play and potentially even enjoy yourself until you hit that limit, but once you do hit it, you are most likely done with the game.
Someone like Ludullu is content with just grinding the same thing for dozens of hours, so to him, this game is solo friendly enough. However, if you are asking about it, I would assume you would not be content with grinding for hours on end - and so this game will be much less solo friendly for you.

With out knowing you personally I would say you probably wouldn't like it.
This game has about 10% of what other games have for solo players.
You could explore but you will be kept out of areas that guilds don't want you in.
You can dabble in crafting but you wont ever get past Journeyman.
The game also has a hardcore lite aspect where you drop materials on death.
You could grind mobs but it will be neither fun nor rewarding.
And you can't avoid the PvP due to you being by yourself, people will go out of their way to kill you because of the lack of repercussions, and the potential rewards.
