There will be Naval Combat Content in Ashes of Creation in the future too ?

After playing and trying other sandbox mmrpgs ( I will not give their names ) which are failed so many players' dreams ( even some of them were promising ), today, with my friends we saw Ashes of Creation and it looks very promising and it seems it will not do the same mistakes of other sandbox mmorpgs too. So we decided to play this mmorpg at may too.

We would like to learn that if there will be naval combat, sea contents, ships etc in this beautiful new mmorpg too in the future ?

Currently is there any content like this in the game now or developers will add it in the future ?

To do combat under the water will be possible too like doing quest, kill mobs and fight with other players ?

Apart from this, we really like the pk and pvp system and castle siege system which seems very similar to lineage 2 which most of current mmorpgs lack of it; but it is nice to see much system in Ashes of Creation really. I believe most of players will play this game. I hope that we see naval combat, sea trades, fishing and hunting whales etc. ( sea related contents ) in the future in this game too.

  • Im not sure if they have released a propper map of the land yet, but if a metropolis is built close or by the water, i dont see why it cant ave a harbour, and if you want to attack this metropolis why you cant have naval ships to attack it.
  • We don't know yet but there is a quote from Steven saying that he will "Make oceans great again". Take that as you may :P
  • There has been rivers and small bodies of water on the map leaks, so I would assume there would be naval combat. Keep in mind that it would be very hard to swing a sword under water so if there was under water combat it would be very limited. You can probably stand on land and shoot arrows/magic at people inside the water but other than that I believe magic and bows wouldn't work under water. There's most likely going to be ships though.
  • I imagine underwater combat would utilize different tools other than a sword, such as a spear/harpoon.
  • "In success all things are possible."

May just be a "planned future feature" at this time so would be dependent on players finding the game enjoyable enough to spend their hard earned cash on.

Would love to see it, tho'.
  • It seems that ships content will come in the future for sure. So it means there there will cannons too. Is this meaning of getting gun/engineer like classes in the future too, in addition ranger/archery classes can use crossbows too ( except lineage 2 and wow, there is no mmorpg alllows players to use crossbows and it is hard to see gunner or engineer like or mechanical like classes in aion or guild wars 2 or tera at most of other mmorpgs ) ? So we will have these type of classes too in the future ?

Apart from this, there will be underwater combat with submarines or submarines like vehicles ; and build underwater cities too ?

There will be air combat too with flying and building cities, flying battleships, mounting on dragons and attack each other ?

These are the features that most of players want to see all of them in one mmorpg to play really for a long time. If developers can bring such things in the future, their mmorpg will last most of current and old mmorpgs really.
  • Honestly, even though people tend to bash AA I feel as though the naval combat/most things involving their open sea pvp was probably the best I've seen in any MMO to date. I wouldn't mind something akin to their system involving that as I've had a lot of fun boating around in my clipper with a couple of friends and getting into some small skirmishes with other boats/people. I can see why this would want to be focused on later though, but this is a neat feature I'd like to see at some point soon after game launch if not with it.
