Transmog?

Do we have any information yet on transmogification or how your character is gonna look? As much as i understand it's kinda cool to show off the items you have got, i really don't want to wander around looking like a clown "cuz stats".

I am some1 who can find alot of gameplay in collecting different looking cloths and armors.

The clown suit is a staple for new mmos, jokes aside I think they're going to have cosmetic stuff you can buy.

I see what you mean, but specific informations on this aspect has not been released yet. There was a game, Guild Wars 2 if I recall correctly, where you could equip your items for the stats, and then give them the appearence of whichever item you may have got during the game. A system like that could be an easy solution to your problem, but you gotta wait for an update.

There will be costumes and dyes available in the in-game cash shop, but we've heard nothing about any kind of transmog system yet. I'm hoping they will put one in though.

I'm hoping for an enhanced version of Guild Wars 2's customization system. It gives the player a lot of control on how they look, and gives everyone a chance to look unique.

Everything I heard of about transmog/weapon effects. It's in development.

I wonder if they are looking at a transmorg like Aion where you find a piece you like the appearance of and you overlay over an existing piece you are wearing and you have the appearance piece with stats of the under-laid piece.

I'm hoping that they have a more one and done style of system for their cosmetics. I rarely purchase things I don't get to keep, especially when it comes to cash shop purchases. Otherwise I end up hoarding any one time use cosmetic freebies I can get my hands on if they take too much time to get.

I think a cool way to implement this would be via a crafting sistem, where you specialise on transmogrifying your own or other players' armor. This could be done by making players destroy in some way a piece of gear to get the core mats and then being able to transmog that piece of appearance maybe X amount of times. That I think would promote more player interaction and also not make it like in other games where you just farm that piece of gear once and you are done. Farming "older" content would be beneficial in this way. Just a thought
