Polearms

Rarely seen in games, yet the coolest weapon design. And not just the poke-behind-a-shield kind, I mean the martial arts style polearm. I'd love to see a cool polearm weapon class in this game. What do you guys think the chances are?

    Well, there most likely won't be a dedicated polearm class like the Lancer in FFXIV, but I'm hoping that Fighters will have access to all manner of different weapons to use, including polearms. Hell, if there is anything like a GuanDao in the game, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to be using it, even if it has rubbish stats.

    Yes, exactly. I just want to swing around a big stick with a blade on the end, and the game will be perfect.

    Play Musa/Blader in BDO... The awakening is a chinese polearm and is quite satisfying to swing around ;)

    But yeah I'd love to see a proper medieval pole arm in the game.

    I have! The problem is that BDO is terrible with everything except gameplay :(
    I have to say though, the combat is great and the polearm is exactly what I wanted.

    I just love to see polearms introduced as long as they fit the game setting. So I'm thinking something similar to European or Middle Eastern styled weaponry.

    If you look at kickstarter video at 2:28 you see a character wielding what is either a polearm or a staff. They have also said that classes won't be locked to certain weapons so there is a decent chance of them having polearms.
