A (different) take on lighting mechanics

I've been away for a while, so I hope I don't copy another (if so please tell me).
So theres basicly two things that comes to play in my idea making/reasoning, so I'll list that first (try and keep up it might get confusing):
1: Okay so here goes, from this fairly recent interview we learn that the team are playing around with lighting. It would seem the are both gonna have torch meta/spells for the that, traps hidden in the dark etc. Basicly you will need light.
2: From different art teaser, videos etc. we see mobs with glowing body parts, like in the recent kickstarter video at 8:15. So I'm basicly always dreaming of very specific crafting ingredients and that kinda stuff. So to make a lamp you might need glowing antlers or fireflies, but depending on what you use you will get different out come.

So the idea that ties these two things together is this: Sometimes you need light, sometimes you need darkness, both depending on time of day, location, playstyle etc.
So what if Intrepid expanded their light meta to include things like this:
Lighting stuffs:
- Different "lighting tipped" projectiles for lighting up a dark battlefield. Fire a volley made from glowing antler and you'll see the enemy from miles away.
- Torches, lamps, lanterns etc. (some waterproof, windproof, coldproof etc. would go well with the environment stuff)
- Sieges weapon/defence called "Projector", basicly a large flame and a mirror/copper bowl for reflection, kinda like oldschool lighthouses. Obviously used for lighting up large areas or looking for enemies.
- Trails on projectiles, made by sprinkling ground up glow stuff onto projectiles (if you can follow the idea).
Darkness stuffs:
- "Dark lamp" basicly a counter to lighting up battlefields, or maybe used by a sneaky rogue. Basicly sucks in light creating a dark area.
- Maybe dark projectiles, stealthy projectiles that won't glisten in light, might even have a bit of the above effect.
- Dark magic for shielding/hidding larger groups or things in the night.
Some of the items might only be for battlefield use, some might only be for exploring dark places etc. The arrows might be basicly useless damage wise but worth a fortune in utility. Basicly I think it would be fun with different ways of using light/dark mechanics :)
