What are the chances of more classes?

Not sure if many people will agree with this but I noticed on the kickstarter stretch goals there wasn't a mention of more classes. I know the game is still in very are development but would it be possible to add at least 2 more classes? I say this because IMO the generic and common classes in MMOs don't interest me at all and lack creativity and imagination. Its ok to have the basic ones eg warrior, priest, ranger but what gets me interest in an MMO in the first place is the class. Some examples of unique class ideas that I loved playing; Shaman and Monk from WoW, Monk in D3, Mag Templar in ESO, Sniper healing class in SWTOR (Ana Overwatch), Engineer range tank Wildstar and Mesmer in GW2. I'm not suggestion a scifi class btw just more unique possibilities. By the looks of it I will go Bard in AoC. Another way they could go about this is having multiple paths to choose from if they going to stay with generic class. Tank could have 3 routes they could go; Brawler, Templar, Dark Knight. I realize that you could go the first 2 options with the system they're working on but they're not "unique" per se.

• In case you don't know there are currently 64 "classes" possible in the whole game. You're wording this like there are only 8. If you're unfamiliar with this augment system please watch the classes section of this video. (skip 3:42)

Now that you've watched the video you should understand what I mean. Currently fighter/mage = spellsword and tank/cleric = paladin are confirmed.

Regarding possible expansions, little has been said specifically about post launch plans. Based off of what they've said in interviews and such, we will likely see new races or religions before new class in my opinion considering there are 64 classes currently being implemented.
• Thanks for showing me this video. Did not know it was that deep but I did mention this in my last paragraph (There's no Dark Mage/Shadow, Alchemist/Poison or Mystic/Shaman class that could add extra flavor to the current options). There's no unique class that stands out IMO. I didn't mention Archeage for this reason because it has a very similar system except you pick between 3 primary classes instead of 2. I also think this is where he got the idea from of augmenting his classes since The White Order did play Archeage. I've played AA for about 2 years and still hop on every few days to pay taxes ect. But like I've stated this is all my opinion.
• It might be best to think of the 8 listed "classes" more like "archetypes."

Don't think you're looking deep enough into this, friend.
• The best character creation system I've seen was FFXI. The game allowed you to change your primary class on a single character at anytime. The game also allowed you to have a sub class similar to what AoC is offering but your sub class could be any other job class that you had unlocked. The sub class could only be 1/2 the level of your primary class. A level 75 black could have any sub class up to level 37 as long as the sub class had been leveled that high. Essentially this allowed a player to level black mage, white mage and red mage all to level 75 and then play the game multiple ways.
Ex. Play as a black mage 75/37 white mage one day and blast things or play as a white mage 75 / 37 black mage the next day and be the healer.
This gave the game replay value and allowed everyone the opportunity to experience all aspects of the game without having to level a second character and do the same dull quests all over again.... imo it sucks to start a game and then after 6 months decide that you wish you had level a different primary character class.
• I'll really love the class system if Devs get to make a class/job system like FFXI where there was a main job combined to a secondary job, then the class system will be awesome <3
