Any word on how names will work in game?

Firstname/Lastname (both unique)?
Firstname/Lastname (firstname unique)?
Firstname/Lastname (lastname unique)?
One name only (obviously unique)?

And any word as to whether our login/forum ID plays a role, eg: in other games, people could reach me @Blackadder, regardless of what character I'm logged onto.

I must say i do like the Firstname/Lastname (lastname unique) option the most when last name is bount to account. Gives you more chance of having the name you want. I really hope they dont go with Firstname/Lastname (both unique) for it makes comming up with a name almost impossible when creating a character later. Toke me over an hour trying to make a decent name in BDO without giving up and just slam my face into the keyboard and go with that. Even then it probably would of been taken..

Don't think we've gotten any concrete info on name format yet. I highly suggest you visit the <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/AshesofCreation/">AoC subreddit</a> and submit a question for the upcoming Q&A livestreams. It's the perfect environment to get answers like this directly from the devs.

I personally would like to see a firstname/lastname format being both unique.

Gotta agree. I like the last name being unique(username/family/account) and you having free choice for a first name.
