Siege timers for attackers and defenders(no offline raiding)
What i mean by this, will sieges just happen, or will they say siege in 5 hours, or will ashes of creation do siege timers what i most think will work if it they implement a siege timer of some sort so that the defenders could pick a time of there choosing in the next 12 to 24 hours to 7 days( i think 3 days sounds reasonable, tho maybe depending on the level of node). so that they can get there community organized so that nobody misses the attack and can defend there property in a timely manner and no offline raiding as per learning your stuff got destroyed while your not even there is kinda not cool and you would at least the chance to defend your stuff you've been working so hard for, i think this is a must mechanic to implement as the sheer number of nodes and wars that will be going on, this will also give spy's a chance to gather information on other nodes to sell to either side so that the attackers or defenders can plan accordingly and it would be super fun to see the leaders organizing there troops in a interesting way. There will be no prolonged announcement of an incoming siege. Possibly a few hours only if not minutes. My thought behind this is that it is a 'siege', sieges are typically spontaneous and catch things by surprise. Its been stated somewhere that a successful siege will be increasingly difficult as the node progresses. I'm also pretty sure it would be unrealistic to siege a node immediately after one just occurred.
1. You declare a siege/war, a amount of time is set before the siege start (scales with node level).
2. At the same time you have to gather ressourses, make siege engines etc. for the upcoming siege, all of which takes time.
3. Once the siege is on there will be several "control points" you have to capture before you can go for the actual capital of the node. Again this takes time, and the defence of the node is said to way easier than the attack.
All in all it would seem they thought in the obvious "I have other things than games"-problem in to the game, most people won't be on 24/7 and they wanna be part of the action too.
