New interview and Q&A

I know BraneGames already made a post about the Q&A, but I thought it would make sense to mention it anyway :) Here the link to her forum post and heres the direct link to the video.
Anyway what I really wanted to make this post about is the new interview with Steven over on mmogames.com, as far as I can see no one has posted a link yet (if anyone has I apologize). The interview covers subjects such as class archetypes, environment, node development, pvp system and a bit more :)
For anyone that don't have the time to read it all, heres a little TL;DR:
* There will be "permanent" decay from environmental threats such as monsters on towns/buildings.
* There will be 8 class achetypes: Fighter, Tank, Rogue, Ranger, Mage, Summoner, Cleric, Bard
-You choose one in the beginning and one later on that you use to argument the skills of your main class.
* The questing system will be suited to three "sizes", locally at nodes, area bound and globally. They go by the names: Tasks, events, narratives
* Which dungeons unlock and what they contain depends on the world /node they are in, and how this has progressed. Different node specialization yield different loot, have different bosses etc.
* Nodes/cities will have titles, reputation, honor, loyalty, merit and a local government that has voting and stuffs (read that part for yourself, its hard to shorten)
* PvP will be made to have 3 flags: Non-Combatant, Combatant and corrupt. Combatants drop raw materials if killed, while corrupts drop gear, materials and such (depending on the level of corruptness). (this part is maybe the longest and a bit hard to shorten too).
* Most importantly Steve is hyped af, and hope Ashes of Creation will revive the MMO genre, lets help him with that ;)
If I forgot/misinterpreted something, then feel free to correct me.

Its good that they consider content for any size guild,but there are other issues with large guilds not touched in the Q&A;
the main core of members of a guild with maxed out endgame gear vs the newer members of that guild, often neglected and left out because their
item level isnt max yet like the rest.It is really off-putting if your guild kicks you out of a large event
because they consider you "not ready" for it.
Maybe guilds need a deeper recruitment system where they can take apprentices (potential members in the making and an opportunity for players that have interest in certain guild to get to know them before becoming a full-fledged member) Taking apprentices grants the guild reputation if they help to train them ,help them on their path... I think there needs to be some sort a mechanic that makes large guilds dependable on reputation ,and thus new players to gain more reputation and keep up,get the recognition they deserve..or not..
Perhaps the whole idea of Ashes of creation's rising and falling should be applied to guilds as well, not just towns.
Maybe when a guild falls, loyal players can still revive it when they have an intact banner of it.
Otherwise you'll have these super guilds after a year or 2 when the game is live with 800 billion
and every buff enabled ,so its harder to compete for the guilds that just start by then
in terms of what they can offer to members, small vs large guilds..Ofcourse,not all players are opportunists, just the majority
Can you explain the class "Bard"
I dont found the result of the word on tranlastion :D

In the olden times the bard was the guy playing the lute, flute etc. and singing to gatherings, royal stuff etc.. So in this case its probably some healer/supporter class that uses music or something.
hmmm or would acrobat with secondary mage be more fitting
Although bard is as closest as it will get to entertainer and jester is practically an entertainer with some magical tricks up his sleave to tickle your funnybone

Wouldnt acrobat be more like rogue+bard? Jester seems fitting for mage + bard, but that could also be something like "Voice of Magic" or whatever :)
