Question about FPS

My main concern for this game is, that it will be just like every other MMORPG out there: unable to deliver stable FPS in all scenarios.
For example: I'm playing BDO and in cities with a lot of players around, I get around 30fps or even lower when I'm running around. My GPU and CPU usage are both below 50%. So there are still hardware ressources avaliable, but game can't use them for some reason. Most players are blaming bad game engine for that.

So I would just like to know if that's something that will be fixed with AoC.

Is there any talking about DX12 or Vulkan support?
Any optimisation for new CPU lineup Ryzen?
Will this game be able to use 8 or 16 CPU cores?
Will it benefit from running SLI or crossfire? How well will it scale?

Can we expect g-sync support maybe? Or it's meant to run at 60fps and not 144?

I just want to play MMORPG where I can get stable 60fps all the time on my 60Hz monitor at 1440p. I'm tired of playing at 30fps or even lower when a lot of players are around me. Sure FPS is not the only thing that matters, but it's 2017, and I finally want to see some MMORPG that is capable of deviding workload on 8cores/16 threads and acctually use both CPU and GPU to 100% load before it starts droping frames.
I don't care if I need to buy 5000$ worth PC, as long as game can utilise all of it's power and deliver stable fps in all scenarios.

So will Ashes of Creation be something like that?
Hopefully one of developers can answer on this questions, but any user input regarding this is also welcome.

Cheers!

  • This is one of their goals. To optimize the game to actually support the features they are implementing. Of course the game will be able to support this - Is what is obviously the goal, but we won't be able to REALLY see if it will until alpha testing hits, and until it's tuned by launch. But have high hopes, this is a very experienced team and they can make it happen if they really work on it(Which they will!)

Well hopefully it will realy work great :) I'm realy tired of playing games that can't stay at 60fps. That's what I went from Guild Wars 2 and WoW to Black Desert Online. And the the begining, it was acctually great. My GPU was at 80% load and stable 60fps in all scenarios. But after 1 year everything changed, and players are getting unstable FPS for no reason.
Desync is also one of the issue.

I realy hope to see this game delivering stable FPS, and if they will succeed, you can expect millions of players comming from other MMORPGs ... including me ofc.
I'm not realy fond of this 15$ per month just to play the game, but if it will be that great, I will deal with it.
