I'm a really visual person that NEEDS, yes, NEEDS to be satisfied with the character I've created and relate to her in order to really get into the game and actually enjoy it. I've played lots of amazing medieval/fantasy games where it's basically perfect for me, except for the disappointing CC where it only lets me choose like 3 hairstyles, 1 of those hairstyle is the ever so present in all games which is 'the bald look', the other is an upgrade to that in case the players don't want to go complete bald, 'the buzzcut look', and the 3rd one is the chin length feminine style that EVERYONE will eventually choose cause that's the only option they really have.
So in the end, I just don't play the game anymore cause no amount of pretty armor or clothing can compensate for the character that I don't like. Sometimes it's vice versa, have a character I like, but then she walks like how the male char walks and the game only has apparels that I just despise, and the gameplay just sucks.
I even have Dragon Age Inquisition on my shelf right now and still haven't touched it since I went to the CC because oh my sweet summer child, the hairstyles are revolting. Which is a shame cause it's such an amazing game with an amazing story and I can't enjoy it cause I don't like my character. Oh, and please don't tell me to just enjoy the gameplay and story and not focus on the character, that's just who I am.
So please! I pray and will even call all of the people in my neighborhood to hold a mass this sunday so that this game has a CC that is equal in effort to the other content the game has to offer. THANK YOU! <3

In the kickstarter tier rewards, they mention "Additional character creation customization options" with tiers 1-3. Assumably, these will not be available in the base game, but may be accessible in the cash shop, where there may be even more customization options available. I think the question isn't, "will there be customization," but instead, "how much are you willing to spend on customization options, if what they have base isn't acceptable to you."
I too don't really want that but if that's what players who can afford the game want to look/feel "exclusive" then by all means.
I'm just saying, if I want to create a feminine or masculine female character or whatever it may be with looks that you know still fit the world and lore then I should be able to. Because it takes away so much when you can only play as a basic looking character, and you can see your hairstyle being used by 90% of the players because the other styles are just too ugly.

Damn 1000$. A. If it actually looks amazing, and B. If I'm satisfied with how my character looks and wants her in that demon/angel set and C. If the game ends up being amazing and true to what they endorse then just take my money.
[quote quote=15558]I think that they’re going to have an interesting way of customization, but there’ll certainly be lots of options.

I'm down with this! As long as it's not too expensive and left out the base CC a mess with only few options/content. I wouldn't want to roam around seeing lots of players that looks the same just cause they can't afford the additional CC features.

I believe we can all amen this! ♥
they actually released the creator early so folks could perfect their toon before the game launched
1 britney spears shaved head, like 3 androgynous hairstyles, and 1 ponytail that everyone probably uses. Not gonna buy the game anyway.
I'm scared cause this is always the case for the CC in Western Games, especially when the team is composed of only straight guys. I really hope the team working on AoC have some sort of idea about female hairstyles.
Other stuff that would be interesting to make character look interesting would be stuff like eye color with some less natural options and dead eyes(one eye whited out from a scar), scars of course, warpaint i quite like the way fallout 4 did war paint(war paint could be applied in fallout via plastic surgery of all things but it was still possible) as a sort of layered system that includes various styles that included typical warpaints along with dirt and some fancy looking paints that would be a difficult to apply but cool non the less.
If we do get good hair and facepaint options i would also like the option to alter it in game it always kinda bugged me that iam wearing my hair in one tie all the time usually and that i cant wash off the war paint or apply a different color or patern, if we have the ability to alter this stuff it could be added as a feature to player housing say theres a mirrior in a bathroom or something that you can alter stuff like that in.
