Cities designs

Will players be able to design and build custom cities or will they be generic and grow based solely on activity around the node? I would really love the ability to create and own whole cities. Even if they can be sieged.

The current information available points out that the cities will be designed by the developers. All aspects will be pre-defined by them.
However, the politics in the city will influence how the city will look like (military, economic, etc.).
Further more, the political leaders may spend the tax money for certain things. The probability is high, that choices by the political leaders will influence the city design in the micro-level.

Generic wouldn't be 100% correct, but they will grow (and shrink) by the (missing) activity around the node - it's zone of influence.

Go for a military node, claim it as your own and rule over it.
That's the path for you.
But be aware, you can and will be sieged! ;)
