Persistant Alpha question...

Can we buy in to the persistent alpha(phases 2) AFTER the kickstarter ends, and without the goodies from KS? Many games have done this, curious if anyone can provide an answer, with proof I'd much appreciate it. I've asked this multiple times on discord with no answers thus far.

    I doubt it. most likely you'll be able to buy your way into the beta if they have founders packs but Alpha is something I've yet to see as a founders pack bonus.......not saying it hasnt or cant happen, just that I've personally never seen it in the games I've played. Good luck getting in either way, maybe you'll be lucky enough to win one

    Just as an aside, I've seen people interested in that Alpha because it's labelled 'persistent' but I would point out that there'll definitely be a server wipe between it and beta, and between beta and the live game. People get excited at the word persistent as if they think it's a headstart on the game. It won't be. As such, I don't think there's any huge reason to sell access beyond Kickstarter.

    They have already stated that the persistent alpha will turn into the test server, but yes there will probably be many wipes.

    And just because it says persistent don't expect to always be able to log in. While all mmos generally have a weekly maintenance Alphas will have that times 10. Don't be shocked if the game goes down 4-5 times in a single day to fix bugs found early on in the tests

    Many games have offered alpha access outside of any kickstarters, ArcheAge had an alpha buy-in for almost a year before the servers went live. Also well aware of server wipes etc, my concern is that money is tight this month, and I can easy buy the $150 pack if it's offered outside of the kickstarter, obviously with different bonuses. Still waiting on an official response, or someone with a link to such a response. Thanks everyone thus far o7
