Interactive Lore and possible world event

So, the main guideline for Ashes lore is that there used to exist a huge civilization and something happened forcing everyone that could survive to run somewhere else, and, centuries later, when the people that fled returned to rebuild the old empires, awakenig whatever was that destroyed the old kingdons.
What i was wondering is, if this disaster would try once again to destroy the world as a sort of final quest event that would start after the world reached certain development with a server reset as it cost.
For example if we take the classic demon invasion as the disaster a portal would open somewhere and hideous creatures would come crawling out of it sieging and destroing the nodes on its way (as some short of world bosses fiesta filled with evil minions if you get my drift). After it if the players manage to beat they back ethernal glory and loot for the heroes until another portal opens up, otherwise the demons win and the server resets.
So would you guys like to see this short of thing or is it just me

  • In a video, Steven Sharif touched on this. Now, take everything with a grain of salt, because this is pre alpha, and things are subject to change.

Once players "come back" to the world, as they explore, they will awaken and encounter the threats of old that drove that drove them away. As, players, and the nodes they inhabit, increase in power, so too will the threats they encounter. At peak, some sort of potential "city destroyer" will come forth to demolish all it sees. If left unchecked, it could de-level, or even completely destroy, a metropolis.

Nothing about any potential "server-wipers", though.
