5/5 Livestream discussion w/ video
The game is gorgeous. There was a clip of gameplay live - not scripted - and it was absolutely marvelous. Steven was talking a bit about how crafting and interacting with the world will go.
DJtechlive was also on the stream asking questions.
Honestly the game looks really nice, and I'm excited to see more polish.

You can watch it on Twitch right now , go to their channel there and click the videos tab. Currently watching it right now , forgot about it too.

It's really early right now for granular details to be hashed out. People are asking for specific details when I doubt they've finalized much. And what's finalized I bet we already have heard about.
So yeah. Patience will give us more info. :)

Aw man, I missed it. Hopefully I can catch a rebroadcast on you tube, or something.

See?..this is whats killing me..I was OK in my ignorance until someone asked that very question and now I cant view the live casts without noticing that the answers to questions seem to be strictly theory craft. What we believe..what our vision is..what we hope for..what we are striving for. The few examples of say the secondary class augmentation abilities have been referenced with the exact same example.."A tank augmenting with a mage as secondary to teleport rather than charge"...well what about Mages and their augmentations with say a bard?...or a rogue?..or a cleric? All the pieces seem to be floating in the air right now and that's OK..I'm just waiting for them to start falling into place.

Hi all, serious question..how much footage that they have shown is paid for assets from the Unreal store? have they gone into this as it looks like everything except the characters are paid for placeholders?

I woudln't be too worried about it, Pink. And, don't let the nitpickers bother you, either.
I'm not a C++ programmer, or anything of the sort. I couldn't tell you jack about the details that go behind making a pc, or video, game. However, I have heard from others that it is common for a game, in pre alpha, to have place holders, while the game is being worked on. It's to show others what the devs are shooting for, as opposed to a finished product. Someone said the same was being done with another mmo in development, Pantheon Online.
This game is most likely 2 years out from being officially launched, at best, imo. Lets see what they do with that time.

lol You and I think alike, in that regard. I, too, thought it was pretty, considering it was pre alpha footage. But, without spoiling the game, I would like to see various player model movements, and how toons interact with the world (ie. sitting in chairs, eating food, drinking, picking items up, opening/closing doors, etc.).
But, it's early, and I'm patient.

I need to see a bit more than just walking animations in order to get excited by the gameplay. Looks pretty, though.

Ive got my eye on Pantheon as well but at least they show a full group of different classes with different spell effects and sounds. Its much rougher than what AoC has shown however there seems to be more there..I remember when they were running around with no armor and no combat animations.
Pantheon looks interesting but too slow paced for my taste and too PvE focused.

Yeah, I felt the same way watching the pr-alpa footage of Pantheon. Now, like with AoC, perhaps the speed/fluidity of the animations will improve, as the game progresses in development.
But, as you said, Pantheon seems to be following in the same footsteps of your standard, "go here, go there" theme park variety mmo, except with perhaps more panache. I'm sure there are those that will love that, but I've tired of the same old, same old.
AoC, if they deliver on what they say, in terms of player/player-world interaction, classes, races, pve content, etc, then that sounds like the type of mmo I've been waiting for.
