There has been much disgruntlement, mainly from the atypical PVE* player, with warranted concerns.

Mainly about the ole days of gank fiestas.

Now i personally have no fears myself that the issues regarding PK penalties are addressed with Ashes.

The development team have many years of combined experience with MMOs and have conveyed a focused message regarding thier player/s and world interaction.

Anyway a simple mechanic to further discourage unfun PVP/PK interactions is to punish the PK/non flagged gank by not only corrupting but by lowering the player level to that of the victim.

    From what I heard is your will gain corruption and it could have an effect on your stats. I think that was talked about openly in Discord I do not remember. You dont have to lower their level but if their stats take a noise dive and they will spawn randomly throughout the world with Bounty hunters attacking them, it will be a deterrent for a large part of the player base. BUT you will always have people who want to do just that.

    I could be a similar outcome that the PK'r corruption adjusts stats to that of their lowest victims level. While maintaining their personal player level as not to effect gearing mechanics.

    Yep. I am just saying that if a player wants to be a dick in the game and gets so much corruption it will help low levels take care of this dick when his stats are low.

    You will never get rid of all pking but the rewards for players who pvp "the right way" and how punishing pvp will be for players doing it "the wrong way" I think pking will not be common place in the game if your not doing a activity that flags you. Why deal with stat loss, bounty hunters, and possibly losing your gear when you can raid a caravan for goods or defend one for payment?
