Mercenary guilds

Hi. I am a question machine :D. Will Ashes of Creation allow mercenary guilds who do not commit to a certain node? (Maybe they can get a mercenary stronghold to hold their guild?)

My idea is a mercenary guild would be willing to help someone defend their node or siege one - based on who has the most gold to give out. They don't care what side they join so long as the gold is right.

Do we know anything about this?

    Since anyone can participate in a siege, even if they aren't a citizen of the nodes involved, I don't see why Mercenary guilds couldn't take advantage of this. As far as I'm aware you do not ever have to become a citizen of a node.

    Honestly, I'd still want to be part of a home node, but being a mercenary sounds pretty cool too. I'd join and partake in battles where it's not your home node at stake.

    I'll be producing a RP Mercenary/Crafter general "Services for hire" guild, but it will be based out of a particular Economical node, and due to the fact that preserving its baseland is the best idea, it will not be able to be hired to siege its own node. However, that won't stop us from engaging in political or other types of intrigue within any node we want. It really depends on what people want for their guild, I think.

    Sounds good to me! Will you be joining the unofficial RP community located in my signature as well? Might help the whole "keeping in touch" endeavor, since Ashes of Creation Roleplay is a forum, not a guild, and for some reason this forum does not seem to have a PM function. :)
