User interface and Addons discussion thread

A couple videos of the Ashes of Creation youtube channel has shown us, the (future) players, how the interface looks like in pre-alpha stages. The interface is presented on the picture beneath.

First question: Do you like the way the interface is being structured and designed or are you not content with how Intrepid studios designed their UI?

In other MMO's like World of Warcraft, the option to design your own UI by using clients like Curse which ables to player to download addons to restructure the UI is something I would personaly love to see in the game aswell. It ables to player to optimalize the experience of playing the game.

Second question: Do you think Ashes of creation should allow the player to restructure the UI to however the player likes his or hers UI?

I'm interested in what you guys think :)

Comments

  • I like it classy.
  • Its a place holder. No representation what so ever for what the final UI will look like.
As long as there is a limit on what information about other players can be obtained, I have no issue with adjustable UI.
Your screen at the end of the day.
  • About the Interface, I think it's a bit too soon but from the information we have I think it's a good start.

About addons, why not new UI.
I agree with Rune_Relic, why not ajustable or other designed UI as long as the information displayed concerns only our own character or can"t discriminate other players whatever the reason.
  • As @Rune_Relic said, what you see right now is nothing more than a place-holder. Typically things like the UI are some of the last things that get worked on in an mmorpg, so we won't know what it will look like until much later. All that I ask with the UI is that it will allow us to resize and re position all the UI elements how we want them.
