Will extended Kickstarter backing decrease time taken to release the game?

So was thinking, how nuts this is doing on kickstarter, would it in anyway influence the time taken to get the game released? I see its set for DEC2018. However if by the end of the kickstarter campaign it exceeds the $1.75M milestone (which i think it easily will), would it mean that more man hours will be put into the development which inturn speeds up the process of getting the game released? Or am I being impatient haha.

Im not really sure about how the process of developing such a game hence the question.

    As much as I would love to start playing right now, I would prefer them to put that money into making sure that all the features are in the game and that the game is polished/balanced. I'd hate for them to release too soon and turn a lot of people off because of an underwhelming release.

    Seems like those man hours would go into the stretch goals, so... same amount of time just launching with more content.

    Ah fairplay. I am extremely for quality over release. Just didn't know how expenses would be put in terms of whether itd be getting more on the team or just allowing for the increased amount of content under the same timeframe. Im For the latter. Especially if release being early would impeed some quality of the content.

    With the stretch goals they sure do make it hard to ask them to focus on the first set of features. Maybe hire one or a cpl more people to finish up more swiftly.
    However, looks like you are right that they have tied the money to the stretch goals. It was also said in the KS video at least that the purpose for the KS was to "broaden" what they can have at release.
