Among all the worlds lies an agent of the chaos, a single man or woman born of that world to deliver it to the dark gods and to take from it everything. Always does this champion of chaos, venture forth to some dark and twisted hallow, to be shown that They are the chosen of the gods and that they will bring the world to ruination. In the case of a young Johnathan Wash, this was absolutely the case.
As a young boy, he lived on a farm working with his mother and farmer, and saving up enough money for him to be sent away to school. It was, a peaceful life, but a short one as war fell upon the land. His home was destroyed, his parents killed, and he sent of to a priesthood, to train as a servant to the gods. Here he learned much of the world, and here he met a woman who would teach him the ways of the land and the people. She was a mentor to him, and a symbol of the gods, a priestess by the name of Galadale Swiftsong, an elvish Noble who left her life behind to devote herself to the gods.
Johnathan spent most of his adolescence learning about the world from his mentor and they came to regard each other as family. Galadale was a priest of the world, and was tasked to lead expeditions into holy sites in order to recover artifacts and maintain holy sites. Johnathan often accompanied her on these expeditions and was poised to take her place as head of the Priests of the World, when she had passed on....but this would never come to pass. One day Galadale left on a journey to a long forgotten temple, and never returned, instead came a warrior of Chaos who called herself Vesperath. She claimed and boasted the death of the Priestess and pledged to send the world into the primal chaos from which it was born.
Johnathan did not believe the creature, he couldn't, he refused to! to think that his family had been taken from him again enraged him beyond belief, and at the age of 18, he stormed the temple which Galadale had entered, hoping to find his master and perhaps a way to stop Vesperath. It was here that he found the agents of chaos; demons and monsters, men and women stained by the dark gods, and machines. He fought valiantly against the horde of terror, but eventually, was over overrun by the monsters, and taken to meet with their dark gods. Here they revealed a terrible truth, that Vesperath was his mentor Galadale, and that she had agreed to serve them of her own free will.
They showed him his future, to lead the chaos to a new world, and to strengthen their presence there until the gods deem the world to be destroyed. In this vision they showed him and his master, standing side by side atop a gruesome scene, where bodies and building lay in rubble. they stand victorious over the men and women of the world and are rewarded by the chaos gods with the world itself to rule as they see fit.....
Johnathan awoke a month later, still in the temple. when he looked upon himself, he saw a dark creature with armor as black as the night sky and eyes as red as burning coals, this was what he would see in every mirror he dared to look into, it was his future, to be that darkness and to lead the tides of chaos into the new world.
