Collection feature

I really enjoyed doing collections in Everquest 2, you find things in the world and when you have a full set you get a reward.
I would like something similar in Ashes, and expand on it such as treasure maps in ESO and ancient weapon/armour pieces, got all the pieces you can reforge it to a new weapon or a armour., It can also be pieces of an old recipe, or blueprint for some nice looking furniture.

When having all these collection features in place it will encourage exploration and trade.

Comments

  • They were fun. I remember gaining quite a few levels with the xp on those.
  • Agreed loved them. I love all gameplay that involves collecting/achievements . I do know I'm probably in the minority about achievements, many seem to hate it :/
  • I also love that idea and I too love achievements, QviZik.
  • If you build a game as exspansive as the ambitions of this game seem to be, collections that encourage you to go out and explore every corner of the world are almost obligitary aren't they?

I would love to see this feature.
  • Huh nice idea, but not only weapon/armor pieces.I want to see cool mounts, something like ancient fossil dinosaurs or some great statue for decorate the house.
  • Achievements is so important to make a goal for the players even when there is no set goal. It lets the players choose its path, and granting rewards from achievements also gives it another boost for player interest. Or that is what I think :)
  • Yeah I'd like to see both achievements (wow) and collections (eq2) in the game.
  • this should be something that is added as default one would imagine.
i would definitely love it, i spent all my time in Rift doing achieves. :)
