My help towards making mmorpg's great again

*English Is not my main language, I tried my best not to make any mistakes but I am far from perfect*
Hello there everyone , I am here to propose a game changing idea that I hope will grab your interest. Unfortunately I didn't go through every threads of the forum before posting so maybe something similar as already been shared , if so please tell me and I shall remove this thread immediately.
I've been playing different games for a while now and something I always felt towards mmorpg's is that the rpg part is basically inexistant. Here's what I mean by that, In every single mmo's I've played people don't care about immersion only thing you see in chat are things like WTS RARE MOUNT $$$$ or LFG DUNGEON OF THE ANGRY FLOWER PIG INSANE and although this method gets things done way more efficiently for grinding it makes you feel like you are surrounded by well made A.I.
Now I couldn't get this game out of my mind so naturally I tough about how I would make the game original to break the current mmorpg ''meta'' and I found it. Removing world chat or any kind of way to whisper world wide. This feature In mmo's just defeat the exploration part in mmo's. Think about it wouldn't hearing in a tavern about two legendary warriors remaining undeafeted yet make you more interested in traveling to their nodes and challenging them than simply seeing in chat ''undefeated duo looking for 2v2 in area at daddy issues city''
Since removing any type of world chat would cause some problem I've though about some ways to still have some kind of way to be alerted if your castle is under attack for example. Guild could distribute gems that would change color depending on the guilds master need; let's say the guild master want to see who's online and free , he could turn the gem green and every guild member online and free would come to the castle. For personal request the mailbox system every mmo has but no one ever uses could finally be useful. As for merchant or people looking to do dungeons tavern could be popular places for recruitment / acquiring information.
All I can see are good things from removing global chat or any type of global information system and I think it would fit Ashes of creation constantly changing world perfectly. Rumors of heroes that defeated epic monster no one though could ever be defeated spreading tavern by tavern , nodes by nodes until their fame drive them mad unleashing their thirst for power on poor civilians receiving bigger and bigger bounty until their rampage is put to an end by the new king that brought light upon the dark lands. such possibilities wouldn't be near as interesting if all you would see is a Pop-up saying node 3 defeated hardcore mtn-dew dragon of the wild lands or a big read banner with ''XmlgXXimsoguudlolo's head is now worth 3$$$'' written on it.
Also A small feature with lots of potential for good rp would be to not reveal name until you choose to. for instance you enter a tavern for the first time, no one knows you. Someone tries to run away when you kicked their butts in checkers. The thief didnt know you were GodLordMajesticCat11 the one and only rogue capable of anything. After getting your money back you leave unknown. Compared to a situation where everyone could see you are the GodLordMajesticCat11 and nobody would challenge you. I haven't yet thought of any ways to reveal name without making it repetitive and annoying but If this thread spark the interest of enough people im sure someone will find a way.
Thank you for reading I look forward to see what everyone thinks of this although I fear it was already shared by someone of perhaps even talked about in a video/stream I missed.

yes the world chat kinda destroys the immersion and i like the base of this idea. i would like to see some sort of blackboard where u can read about rumors. this would defintely raise the level of immersion.
the mailbox system is hopefully not able to transport goods or if it does it should be similar to the caravan system, maybe similar to our real life mail system, where all the mail is gathered of one day and transported and delivered the next. But it should be able to be attacked and defended.
maybe there could be something like a subprofession like a bodyguard, which is rewarded with much gold if succesfull and less if not, or there needs to be a strong guard npc walking with that postman.
the colour changing stone is a good idea, but its killing your time when u have a guild master requesting a gathering just so he can see who is online XD it could be like the coulor turns red if the city of origin is under attack.
For me, removing world chat would not make a difference.
When I play, I am typically chatting with players via Discord/Skype.
And I'm typically watching players via twitch.
I pretty much always chat from the persona of my avatar.
There is not enough variety in the avatars for us to be able to play well without names being visible.
And changing outfits would basically be like changing into a completely different person.

As of guild chat i'll be assuming you mean local guild chat and not world wide I was thinking something with the feature that was not officialy annouced but they claimed to be working on it in their discord (in the intrepid_answers channel) wich would be in-game voice chat. Since having 300 people talking on top of another would be highly annoying I'm guessing this feature will also let you create group chats that will reduce surrounding players voice exept for those in your group (leaving the option to completely mute surrounding players if you just want to have a smooth conversation) Since raids have been said to be around 40 players I guess guilds could have 40 player chat.
For mailbox I was thinking a fast delivery since kings and mayors can have flying mount I was thinking perhaps letters could start with carriage and if the nodes deceide to upgrade their delivery, letters could then be delivered via flyng harpy or whatever flying things you can think of. I also agree that mailbox should not be used for item transportation.
About the color changing stone, What I had in mind is more of a guild based (I can't find the word it's so painfull) Refence table?
So basically you'd have the Main colors (Green,Yellow,Red) perhaps the devs are edgy and think those colors are too conventional so lets say antique white , stale gray and Sienna. The guild would deceide what antique white means and if its urgent for you to come or not and so on with every color. That would be way more IMMERSIVE than having a set meaning for every color.

So The main reason I want to remove world chat is to give us a desire of exploration instead of already being enable to talk with random people from a node across the world even if you use discord and such I doubt there'll be people from every node on the server so you'll have reasons to explore and discover the lore of this world made by its own players. Now twitch is somewhere people that doesn't care about this type of immersion could talk about things going on around the server.
As for the name part I didn't explain enough and forgot to mention that once the player revealed their name It would be a permanent effect unless we also add a way for people to be forgotten that would cost huge amounts of money and would be very risquy, let's say a quest chain where you would be far away from eveything and would have to survive on your own for the duration of the quest (sending you into a different instance where time goes faster so you don't have to actually wait you're entire life to be forgotten) wich would be an interesting feature to go with the bounty system.
Its akin to using TVs and telephones in the dark ages or stoneage. Wait what ?
To truly get the feeling you are in that time and place,
the communication methods allowed,
must be appropriate for that time and place.
I does present difficulties that need appropriate solutions though. :/
