• So an avatar with bunny ears is immersion breaking, and should be burned at the stake. Yet one with four purely cosmetic wings is not so, and to be revered? Help me on this one.

Honestly the most interesting outfit I have seen in this game yet was the mage. Not saying the Predator (Rogue/Ranger) was not well done, just not very distinct or interesting. When I read how someone thought that the mages outfit was skimpy, I was a bit bemused for several reasons.

The first is that in relation to modern fashion it is hardly revealing. Vastly more conservative than what I see young girls wearing these days. As a parent, I cringe at how high skirts allowed to be in school, or how low the neckline.

Next of course is the number of women I know who play that are very much into the more sexy look. If my wife for example could ever afford the Jade armor set for her Paladin in WoW, I am not sure she would ever change it again.

Lastly, I know I am showing my age here, although Eastern culture has made an major imprint during this generation, thanks in large part due to fandom from mine, it was inspired by the West. The works of Frazetta, Elmore, Parkinson, and Vallejo to name just a few were first. There was some skimpy outfits by any definition. Yet they helped set the tone for high fantasy for years to come.

Personally I would like to see all accommodated. If someone wants, and can afford the Angelic/Demonic skin, more power to them. Ladies here that would like a more practical look, such as heels firmly on the ground, please accommodate that. Just as I would petition that those that wish for more risqué appearances, as Olivia said, Let Them Eat Cheesecake.

It's high fantasy. Dragons are in the world. Not seeing where a low cut armor with cat ears is going to destroy the game. I will fully admit it took me a while to get over the spinning beanies, and other Engineering craziness from WoW, but in the end, it was not my character that had to adorn them. I may have loathed them, but it made many happy to have that choice. That is all I am asking for any of us, to have a choice.

•
Sorry to inform you OP, but the use of the word **** in the discord is banned and will immediately delete your post. Also I’m assuming the game is going for a realistic look and I heard Steven got yelled at for using the clothes that he did for the mage video, So I am assuming they won’t be scandalous like some other mmos you could think of. But idk about fashion, I personally just like to have some BA armor or clothes leaning towards my characters role (i.e. A rogue should look dark and mysterious)
I'm upset to hear that Steven was yelled at. I'd like to yell at whoever yelled at him. Looking sexy is not a crime and I wish insecure problem children would stop shaming people for it. I want options to be sexy and to have protective armor. It's not hard to understand that more choice is good. Please don't try to impose "moral" ideologies on a video game, there are other places for such things.

• So what I'd like to see is a semblance of realism. So if you want to be a furry, sure, but you're going to look like a wolf or bear furry, more like a savage rather, not a kitten or bunny furry. If you want to be a kitten or bunny furry Wildstar is still running.

How about a multi-piece, system for each body area, with combinable multiple layers. White tunic, with leather so you can have your plate on top of that. Or the same white tunic with an ornate vest for the pirate captain look. Or the same white tunic with missing sleeves for the beggar look. What about a spaghetti strap tank for the mage, but then she puts the ornate mantle on top of that, and for jewelry she gets a spiral arm band, with all of that working with a skirt or pants, and sandals, or boots. Oh and I don't want to lose whatever enchantment I have on that arm band, so let me put a long sleeved coat on top of it.

Heels no. In real life heels are good for the ladies because it lifts things up for those ladies who aren't athletes. Athletes don't need that help, nor would anyone want to try for heels on uneven dirt paths like you'd have on a cobbled road. So if you aren't a courtier in the palace or moving on hard packed ground you should probably end up with a movement penalty in heels.
• When it come to shoes I like it to be on the realistic side too. I do like a bit of a very low thick wedge heel though, I understand that some other people wouldn't like it but I've worn shoes like the ones in the pictures below and they're really easy to run and walk in cause the heel is thick and low, so i'm not sure if other people would consider these unrealistic? I really like them though lol

These shoes below aren't very protective but they look very light and flexible so I like the idea of a medium armor class like a rogue or assassin wearing these:

also generally I like shoes to be form-fitting, not chunky or over-sized.
• @Yinala

I would love to wear any of those boots in game. <3
• All I need is a long flowing cape, I don't even need any other armor or clothing.
• I hope they take a page from Vanguard. That game had different character tabs for gear depending on what you were doing. If you went into combat it would auto switch you into your combat gear and look. If you were crafting you switched to your crafting gear with its own look. The game also had an interesting diplomacy system that also had its own gear and look. I think you could also have cosmetic items for each though i could be wrong.
• I wish instead of transmorg system they would use the EQ2 system of having an appearance tab on your paperdoll where you could place what items you want to show on your character which could be in combo with your regular gear. The Vanguard system sounds pretty good, too. Aion had the transmorg system and it was ok, but in the end you had less options overall.
• I think I would rather give the eastern MMO paedophile culture a miss.
You can keep paedo bear.
Thanks anyway.
:)
• I want options lol :D

I love to play support and in my head, I have a story about my character. A lot of the time I go "Why are my clothes so skimpy? You call that an armor? My stomach is showing! If I don't die by stabbing, I'll die of cold. Why am I running in stilettos on unpaved road? Did I get Heels Training 101? I'll die because I'll have a broken ankle."

If they have skimpy outfits, I also hope they have full-coverage outfits. If they have stilettos, I also hope they have sensible footwear. Because really, walking, much less running, around in stilettos on unpaved ground require much, much training in itself that the game isn't addressing. :P

Hm, that turned into some sort of rant...
• While I agree with you about wanting more variety in characters, races, and.. sure.. fashion, I'm afraid you won't find many like-minded people here. Many here seem to have a strong dislike of anything that so much as hints at things common in eastern MMOs. Me personally? Skimpy outfits don't bother me. Hell, Nier Automata is one of my favorite games, and my girlfriend's as well.

... I just want more variety in races. Super boring right now.
• Hmmm i don't see them doing any **** type of outfits, however i also like the mid evil theme but with more customization, Lets face it we didn't have dragons in our mid-evil times, so we should have some cool looking outfits (not skinpi ones) But unique ones with awesome colors ext

well see tho. I love capes tho we better have many options for capes D:<
• I understand that realism is a big thing for many, but also given the choice so is skimpy for others as well. I don't believe you should exactly degrade others for wanting skimpy or **** outfits because if you wish to speak realism, this is a fantasy world where magic exists and so does transmog and different appearance like mechanics will be available to use so that if given the choice you can make your armor look skimpy, or whatever kind of style you prefer yet still understand, that's not the armor you are necessarily wearing. I agree with the wanting to have my character serious or looking rather "showing", but that's my opinion, I don't think you should take other's opinions away. This is not going to be like many eastern MMOs. I hope, and by the looks of it, seems like there will be a variety of options. So for my input, I hope they have black leather trench coats that have a variety of straps, as well as a chest piece underneath ( similar to my icon for my profile). Which would probably make the trench coat either the chest piece or the cape but just more detail surrounding the body. I also want to have different armor pieces that have like leather for instance for the base, the trench coat, but then when made have different parts of the body have metal plating near vital organs, arms, shoulders, etc. That's my input Gemiichan :), I personally don't play with many skimpy outfits but I do agree with the cuteness needed from them but I also know people who want such outfits :).
• what if there was a fashion crafting skill augment where you could tweak gear a certain way to make it look unique. like add cat ears to a helmet or changing a bag to look like a purse or putting a keychain/ornament on weapons
• Not hoping for **** outfits but i am hoping for some good fashion, also id love fusion runes
These are used to fuse the appearance of one item to another and it will keep the stats of the fused item. This will make mixing and matching different armor pieces a breeze.

Im not familiar with that game but the system sounds wonderful! Id really love to auto switch into different gear depending on the situation!
This armor is awesome, make her heels a bit lower though.

I really love the top part of her armor and her arm armor, I would prefer the bottom part of her armor be pants instead I’m not a big fan of skirts.

I really like armor that shows a bit of arm like in the second pic, I just love arm armor lol and I want lots of tight pants armor! Big baggy Trench coats and skirts are not my thing. I like form-fitting clothes.
I agree!!! <3 I love these!
I’ll be wearing sandals, spandex and cape around town. Feel free to attack and gain max corruption.
I think youd scare ppl away wearing nothing but a cape and sandles! lol
Would be cool to have cosmetic skins customizable by gear slot so if you want to show just wings you can do that, and wear some cool hood and plate armor yahh
Like being able to toggle things on and off? or like having a completely separate panel for the items?

I agree with you! Some outfits im just like..."omg, really?" But I do have to say that I wear heels daily....and Ive ran on unpaved ground! lol Depending on the heel, I love it or hate it! haha I hope they have some killer heels tho! I literally die for heels!

That sounds really cool actually!! :) I wonder how it would mix with the other ideas stated earlier from different games!? I think that would be a very unique way of organizing and making different gear pieces!

• I don't see why they couldn't have lolita style armor sets, especially for those wearing cloth armor (like full clerics or mages for example)

I for one would love to see something like the Night Cat armor set from BDO - while not really lolita, it's very practical as well as cute and cool :D I want to shake the hand of whoever designed this armor set!
