Unable to post anything longer than a sentence

I was editing my Guild recruitment message and it completely deleted after submitting the edited version. It's showing the post is there with nothing in the context window. I went to my profile and it does not say I've posted a topic on the Forum.

It also will not let me make a new post with the same context.

I have tried going through my direct link to the forum post: https://www.ashesofcreation.com/forums/topic/na-extermination-pvx-node-domination/
Whenever I try to submit a new body of text I get "ERROR: Duplicate reply detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!"

Just started happening to me... not sure wtf is up. changed browsers and still can't.

I'm sorry to hear your post has been deleted. There appears to be a problem with the cache on this website where if you edit a post that is longer than 100 words (the point where you need a scroll bar during the edit screen) it will delete the post. This has been reported to the admins and they are working on the problem, but until this is fixed you shouldn't try to edit posts that are longer than 100 words.

Thanks for the update I will try my best to not edit, but I have OCD with posts -.-.

As the name suggests, editing your posts deletes them.... but then you aren't allowed to repost it because it says you've already posted it.

Just to clarify this, having tested this extensively and given my findings to the website admins:

I’ve been running some tests and it appears to be linked with the length of the post. If the post is short enough to not need a scroll bar in the editing screen, then the post will be edited without a problem. Also, if you have a post that is originally under the scroll bar length and you then add to it so that it needs a scroll bar, it will edit without a problem. However, if the post is long enough that a scroll bar is required during the editing screen, then even if you don’t actually edit the post itself (i.e. you click “edit” and then “submit” without changing anything) the post will be deleted.

I have managed to recreate this bug on both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer multiple times. Hopefully whoever is in charge of the website will see this and be able to fix it. In the meantime, it is probably better to keep posts small enough that they don’t require a scroll bar during the edit screen.

I submitted a reply to a topic but it didn't show up. When I re-wrote it (darn server cache) and posted it again it came up with:

ERROR: Duplicate reply detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!

The reply still isn't there. How can I say what I want to say without making a new account?

the thread may of been deleted/ hidden if you edited it after submitting, it' s known bug they are addressing. if you tried to repost it it would of most likely been picked up by a anti-spam try waiting a hour or so before reposting and it should work...

this should be fixed soon with the new forum revamp :)

Not sure if it has any bearing but all three times I attempted to use the "Quote" option to expound on that. All three times were unsuccessful. Since then I have posted at least three times (including here) at relative length.
