As for the queens and kings go with special to superlativ (special collors , special efects ,special whatever)
The unser for the quote down is :i have a life and i will never play 12 hours a day unles it is a paid job otherwise i would be ... well you get the point , i consider games to be enertainment and not mi life.
Mi comentay is adresed to the post TRUE FLYING MOUNTS specificly.
<blockquote>Why should someone who plays 2 hours a day be on the same level as someone who plays 12 hours a day???
You want everyone to have a fair and equal chance at rare things.
Nothing wrong with that wish.
All the games content is going to be on the ground...which is where I want to be. Flying over said content would be counterproductive.
Restricting flying mounts to rulers, and rare drops with a limited time frame for usage, sounds totally fine/fair to me. It gives everyone a chance to acquire/experience a true flying mount, w/o making them game breaking, or ruining the adventure/immersion.
Intrepid is going in the right direction with this, imo.
This is the kind of thing people dont understand, its rarity is what makes it awesome. Is flying in wow cool? No, Its faster than ground travel but other than that its not special. In fact it makes the game less interesting because you skip the landscape and dangers below.
I can almost guarentee i will never get a dragon but i am so excited to be in my first battle and see some one flying one. Its rarity adds to its epicness..

I actually came here to say everything this guy just said :D
"On the whole server there are only 5 castles and only 5 metropolis at a time. So out of the up to 10,000 concurrent players only 10 could have a flying mount.

I actually came here to say exactly the same as Ziz here wrote.
All the more memorable experience TBH.
For example, I would prefer if everyone could obtain a flying mount of equal performance, but kings/queens and rare established people having THE SKIN of their mount be amazing rare dragon.
While rest of the players have regular birds etc.
This sounds much more OK for me. Though, again, as long as it's not pay 2 win I'm happy. :)
