G'Day. Coming from Borderlands; What Should I Expect to be Similar?

Hello,
Been wondering this for a while now and thought it was time to ask. I believe there's a few and correct me if I'm wrong but what I've picked up is;
- Loot
- Character Progression
Are there more? I presume there is but I've never played an MMO before so much confusion.
Thanks for any help on the subject.
Also, if it's cool with those that respond, I'd like to collect the similarities and turn them into a video to wake up my Borderlands audience and get them hyped for this glorious game.
Regards,
Lftstrafe.

Never played Borderlands so hopefully someone else can answer that for you.
The essential idea of a MMO is alone the lines of a Hero's Journey story, where you choose a character that starts off as an ordinary low level citizen, then through their adventures becomes more adept and capable, ultimately being able to rise to great challenges and undertake heroic feats.
In Ashes, your character is part of a dynamic world that reacts to the plight of yourself and other players, allowing you to progress in multiple directions as the world itself evolves.
- Gearing through PvP and PvE encounters, such as node sieges, caravan battles, guild wars, castle sieges, arenas and raids.
- Focusing on gathering, trade and artisan crafting.
- Building your own housing and businesses.
- Gaining advancements in your guild.
- Growing your power by contributing to your religion.
- Participating in word quests and events.
- And many more!
