Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Destroying freehold while offline

If I am offline can some other player or a group show up and destroy my freehold?

    From what I heard in a QA Freeholds can only be attacked during a siege of the node its based in. So after a group mercs a node, the entire area become pvp. And yes people can come by and destroy your freehold. But they said that your freehold is saved so you can just plop it down somewhere else if you come back online and find it gone. All of your stuff will still be inside too.

    Though these things might change this is what they have said so far.

    Ok, that's fair enough. I wasn't sure if a group can just come and destroy a freehold any time, any place. Looks like that's not the case -unless the node is under siege.

    Seiges on nodes also have declaration period. They said about 2 weeks before the node goes to war. You have ample notice, so you know what day your freehold will get destroyed. /s

    Kidding aside, freeholds get attacked only after the node fails to defend itself. And as Leon said, it will be saved and you can plop it down elsewhere.

    While for the most part, what Leon and Shirikuryu have said is true, I heard different when it comes to the items stored in your freehold.

    While the freehold itself may be re-buildable, after destruction, the items on your property are open to looting, if your freehold is destroyed, and ultimately lost. That's my understanding, however. As always, things could change.

    And, it makes sense, seeing as how, if there's no risk to a freehold, should it's node fall, then the impetus to defend it may become unimportant, to some. If you know your valuables are at risk, should you fail in defending, then you have much more stake in seeing that the defenders win, as opposed to just sitting on the sidelines.

    I'd expect the freehold looting to be possible, but only during a seige, and I'd expect only after the node is destroyed below village stage.
    this is when I'd expect people to run about rampaging and looting.

    I too would expect materials to be lost.
    Your furniture and personal belongings will remain safe though.

    Thats consistent with death.
    You lose some resources....but all your belongings are safe.
