summoners potential
with what steven said about summoners in Livestream today I think summoners have the most potential and most adapative combat style. How augments change your summons and how great they can be in group situations with group summons. Sieges, dungeons and raids completely pwnt with multiple summoners ulting. PvP I feel like summoners have the greatest capacity for skill and the gap will be wide between good summoners and bad ones.

That being said, I think the ideas discussed in the live stream were very, very awesome and worth being excited about. I'm looking forward to what each class' ultimate siege ability will be.
In the last live feed, we saw a bit of what the mage looks like, and people were proclaiming it OP. In the same feed, we also heard a bit about the summoner.....
As time goes on, we'll be hearing/seeing more and more about all the classes. As well as the races. I'm pretty sure that until we get a good look at all the races/classes, there will be proclamations about "this", and "that", being the new OP. Despite all that, in the end, I'm sure Intrepid will have balance between the classes.
Players will be able to choose the class they like, and not worry about being competitive.

Why?
Because in 90% of games I played, summons were acting like **** because it's just AI

I agree that the summoner has good potential with the current things they have said in the latest live stream.
But to say they have the most potential when we do not even know what the other archetypes can do is way to early.
I look forward to the moment that they will and can show more of the other classes as well, if summoners work together and can create something as a siege golem I have good hopes for other archetypes to also being able to something special.
I can see the class banding together idea being adapted for other classes too. For instance, tanks could band together to form a stronger shield wall or rangers could rain down a vast volley of arrows to push back an enemy advance in a siege.
Testing of AoC is going to be super important, and with such a vast number of possible combinations from the class system then there's going to be a lot of balance to do. It's good to bring up thoughts such as this thread. Debate is necessary.
Pets not being just an auto attack minion is refreshing. The utility and adaptability as well.

I imagine that means it needs an item too.
FOR EXAMPLE
Tank/Summoner Can summon a shield wall alone protecting 3 allies at once.
Rouge/Summoner Can summon shadow clone that mirrors skills or auto attacks.
Ranger/Summoner Can summon multiple arrows from a single shot.
It was also said that what you summon as a summoner primary will depend on your race so that leaves me more interested to be a summoner primary. As far as cleric and bard go although we have no set skills for them either I think it safe to assume Clerics have heals, holy magic, and maybe binding magic as skill trees and bards have Buff, De-Buff, and control skill trees.
