Kickstarter Page Hints At a Dec 2018 Release
Speculating is pretty much all we can do at this stage of development. So, why not go all the way.
So, when you try to pledge any amount of money to the project, you get a window. This window details the amount that you're going to pledge, the rewards available for this tier, and other stuff. Well, it turns out there is an Estimated delivery date on the window. It looks like this
<img src="https://i.imgflip.com/1pixe4.jpg" alt="here" />
This estimation is an approximation of when these rewards will be delivered, and we all know these rewards will be delivered during open beta, or closed beta. It's most likely open beta since everything closed beta will be wiped when it's over. (Estimated Delivery: Dec 2018). So, you will get he rewards of the amount you've pledge someday during Dec 2018. The alpha stage, as i've heard, is confirmed for fall 2017, so a Dec 2018 open beta, or even release does make a lot of sense. What do you think?

When they start to go back on what they initially said, then they're going against what they "promised". That will possibly make me consider retract what I put in.
Then that's when the community starts to turn toxic and more of a "cult" so to speak, although that word choice might be rough. Instead of keeping the community constructive and progressive. I do not want to lose that, and I do not want people to ever stop asking the hard-truth questions.
So If they said they can do it by 2018 Ok, I'll hold them to that. Promises were made, and we as players who backed them should hold them accountable for that promise. I refuse to support a game/community if it turns into a Star Citizen community.
Not full release.

Friends and Family Alpha starts Dec 2017
KS Alpha starts Dec 2018
Here is another thread that several others have posted on saying the same.
<a href="https://www.ashesofcreation.com/forums/topic/alpha-release-date/">Here</a>
Friends and Family Alpha by the end of 2017. This includes giveaway keys.
From the KS FAQ
"Kickstarter Alphas is currently scheduled to launch in 2018, with Betas following after that. Note, this schedule is subject to change based on development milestones."
And per the KS rewards that is stated as December 2018 and has been verified a number of times by the Devs.
They also said they hope to move this up to as early as October 2018.
When asked about release the answer has been before 2020.
Maddstone
"We’ll be doing continual testing of our game until launch, alpha and beta are included in this plan. Alpha 1 will be our very first “closed” test, followed by Alpha 2, Beta 1 and Beta 2. They will take place in that order, but exact dates of each test aren’t available at this time. Alpha 2 will remain active in a persistent state till launch, then will become our Public Test Server. (If you have a key from our weekly drawings, those keys give access to our weekend NDA Alpha starting in Q4 2017)"

Rewards:
"Braver of Worlds - Early Bird Limited!
Invite to Closed Alpha - Phase 1 (Earliest Access to Ashes!) "
Even in rewards with Betas also see that Estimated delivery is Dec2018.
I think that Q4 Alpha phase 1 is for all Key winners also for KS Backers.
They seem to have in there minds that release will be before 2020, but this date is almost guaranteed to change unless all historical game development precedents are broken, and they can actual hit a release date that was set 4 years prior with no knowledge of how the game will morph and be reiterated over the course of several alpha and beta phases.
If it actually releases in full before 2021, then they succeeded by any reasonable expectations of how these things go.
Friends and Family Q4 2017 | Invite Only TBA | Phase 1 Alpha December 2018 | Phase 2 Alpha (persistent) TBA</blockquote>
Quote from Shunex from "Information Regarding Weekly Key Drawings" Thread - suggests that invite only TBA hasn't got a date yet but hints being before Alpha 1 but after Friends and Family. Invite Only keys are not the same as the friends and family.
Just leaving this here. You know the search function is a handy tool in discord.
Oh and to be exact; The raffle keys from Twitch are the same as the key drawings in the forums. The raffled beta will be before any KS beta but AFTER the KS alphas.
Do you have a timeline for Ashes of Creation Alpha and Beta testing?
We just announced that our Alpha 0 is scheduled for December 15, 2017. That is our raffle only Alpha that will also grant access to some media and influencers. You cannot purchase into that Alpha. Our Alpha testing is scheduled all throughout 2018, and that is going to be for people who participated in our Kickstarter. We hope for our Beta to begin at the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019.
