Heya everyone.
A challenger has entered the arena! Nah, I'm just messing with you, I'd like to think I'm quite friendly... I hope...
*AHEM*
Anyway, figured I'd just say hi! I'm Xitenic. (Xee-tenic, or Xiy-tenic, I don't mind how you pronounce it. Xit, Xi, X, also works.)
I'm from the very... Tropical country of England.
A little about me?
Well, I love games. I'm a game addict.
I listen to pretty much all types of music, though electronica/house is my jam.
I watch a wide variety of films... Er... When I get the time... Because gaming eats my days away!
I'm still fairly new to the whole introduction to the game, so I'm still reading up the FaQ, the "About" pages, joining the Discord and such, but I pledged anyway, because the game's concept is freakin' *awesome*! I'm hoping to get a bit more of an understanding of the game, so I know what my goals actually are, and what to aim for and such. (A little overwhelming, but I'll get there!)
Anyway, I've already rambled too much. :P
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you peeps when the game does come out!
- X.

Thanks! This heat wave is killing me. 21 degrees! What is the world coming to?!
Hi! And thank you! :)
@Diura
Heya! For real, though. 21 degrees Celsius? What is this world coming to?!
I made this post for people who was a little skeptical of the kickstarter I know you said u already backed which great but their is some background info!!!
<a href="https://www.ashesofcreation.com/forums/topic/skeptical-of-aoc-let-me-share-some-info/" target="_blank">Here</a>
Little info about me! xD
I'm JcTruper some people Call me "JC" or "Truper" for short call me whatever you like xD
I'm 21 years old and I'm a Hardcore gamer. I prefer playing video games that I can play online. But that's not to say that you can't find me playing a single player game offline. I'm pretty laid back about things. I'm just here to play and have some fun.
How did you hear about Ashes of Creation?
What other mmos have you played?
What do you hope to see in Ashes of creation?
Got a question just ask meh ill try my best to answer it!
Info down below! ( Want to dive into the community join the Discord)
Yeah, I'm a little uneased, to say the least, but I'm wishing great things for the studio, and the game. The concept is awesome, so at the very least, I pledged to give my support for that. I'm also not a fan of subscription-based payment models, so paying any amount to get out of that permanently, is 100% worth it in my books. ;)
A friend and I was kinda' going through our Steam libraries, the typical, "Man, I'm so bored, I have x amount of games, but no idea what to do with them!" kind of thing. So, I started taking a look at some MMOs. It's been a while, the last one (without naming and shaming it) flopped, so, it was time to see what's out there. And then I saw the news for Ashes of Creation, that was... A few months back. Then I heard about the Kickstarter, and saw the Node videos, and that was enough for me to start throwing the wallet at the screen. :P
Other MMOs I've played... Oh, boy. Bounty Bay Online / Voyage Century, Vindictus, Shaiya, Archage, Black Desert Online, Eve Online, Sky Forge, Warframe (it gets called an MMO, debatable?), Black Prophecy... *Deep breath*... Wildstar, Final Fantasy XIV, PlanetSide 2... I think that's every thing? But I'm super into the political side of gaming, the randomness of it all, the intrigue. It's definitely my play style!
What do I hope to see in AoC... Oh, man. It's hard to tell, really. I'm hoping for a lot of ways to be able to interact with other Guilds, and other players on a more sophisticated level, than just a wave emote, you know what I mean? I've still got a lot of reading up to do, to see how far the game has come, and where it's going to go, in order to give any 'good' suggestions, but I'm totally down for being able to take out my competition with more than just brute strength, and higher numbers. Complex diplomatic options for those who want to delve in it? I might just be a small minority who think that'd be cool, but that's just me, I'm still pumped to see what happens, regardless.

EDIT:
If this works, it'll be a miracle.
I tried to do something just now. I thought I'd be a genius, and edit my previous post, and just add all the text in.
It deleted my post.
Curse you, post monster! CURSE YOU!
I've got a new solution, to circumvent this.
I just put my post into a notepad, and just took a screenshot.

I hope that's okay for ya'. :P
Is there any news when the next forum is coming?
Anyway, welcome new sandal warrior in the lands of the shining barethreads.
Since everyone put all the links into your easy reach, I shall simply do my thing of serving some tea and wishing you all the greatness a journey can bring, excitement, exploration and social endevours.
<puts down his trusted makeshift teatable and serves some cups with fresh tea in it and sips off of one cup himself>
I share your hopes on the political and social side, some interactive emotes would be quite something, (danceing together anyone?) who knows if you are on the EU side, we might get to deal with each other. Until then, best of luck <wave>
Savour the letters, for they are an endangered species!
It's currently 5Am as I'm typing this. Two cappuccinos down. I think I'll just mix the tea with it, if you don't mind.
Dancing together is definitely an interesting suggestion. - I only hope our characters are good dancers! ;)
I, for one (as well as my Guild mateys) will be on the EU side, looking forward to seein' ya'!
And, of course, the best of luck to you, sir. I definitely won't turn down a friendly face in a game like this. :)
@Grisu No it must pay for its crimes!!! it must suffer as I have!!!!

Haha! Thanks for Backing the kickstarter :D Personally I like the sub ( Of course no one likes spending money but it prevents the game to be spammed by hackers/bots etc.... and it keep the game alive for more content )
Just my thoughts though!
I heard about this game from them posting a video on facebook I watched it! and fell in love with It really Needed something new because I'm been in a dying streak of games :( it was from the youtuber "Thelazypeon"
I've played WOW " World of Warcraft " for 11 year's I've tried other mmos but it didnt keep my interest or just wasn't my type of game WOW pretty much consumed my soul :D
I like the political side of the game , but I don't want to run it lol I can lead but not a entire city!!
Well you pick the right game because its truly going be Community based then a solo base game!!!
Thanks for Sharing Also thanks For going the extra mile to get the word out I appreciate that!
Glad to have ya along the Hype train!!
For more info about the game I suggest you take a look at "Deathsproxy" video! ( down below!! )
This is a pdf full of information you might want to take a look at as well :P

Hopes this helps!
Heya!
Isn't that .gif from the "Last Witch Hunter"? I need to get round to watching that at some point.
*Ahem*.
Though Subscription payment models have their bonuses, I'm just not a fan of things where I feel like I have to commit to it, or question whether or not I'm getting my money's worth each month. That's just me. :P
I've heard of TheLazyPeon, I checked out his channel, but I'm not sure I like his style of content. DeathsProxy playlist, is, however, funnily enough, on my to-do list of catching up to do in regards to the game, I'm still chugging through all the information on the game, haha.
Will you be over on the EU side, or the NA, bud? Perhaps we could work together!
EDIT:
Thank you, oh sacred post monster, for not devouring this post.
Its not a bad film :D
I can totally understand that point of view, Because it becomes more of a hassle you get home and be like well I have 3 days left before my time runs out I should probably play.... Games should be when you want to play it not that you have to in order to make the most of it!
To be honest "Thelazypeon" is not all my style either , but he puts out great information on games!
I found out about deathsproxy through the community discord ( links below if your interested! ) and honestly!! I love his content a lot!
I'm NA but im usually up during the morning then day lol total graveyard shift xD Where ya from if you don't mind me asking?
and im totally down to work together :D
I'm a part of the AoC Discord, it's a pretty awesome place. Super packed, though. I don't do well in such large groups.
I'm from the ol' Europe. UK, England to be exact!
I totally understand and agree with you in regards to gaming. It shouldn't be a chore, but I do feel like it's harder to justify a constant payment, than one big payment, in my eyes. Also makes the bank account look nicer every month. :P
You do make a good point about the bots and gold spammers, though. It'll be refreshing to not have them everywhere we go.
I'm in the discord as well! ( same as my user name )
Yeah right behind ya on the Large groups not personally a fan of big groups I'm the type of guy that sits in the corner and just listens and not try to be notice believe it or not lol!
From NA in Oregon ( Right about California )
Took the word right out my mouth it shouldn't be a "chore" Couldn't think of the word to save my life! lol
Lol thats true! on payment wise! dose make the bank account nice and neat xD
Yeah I hate bots... lol
With love and grace,
Zenpai, The Infallible Healer~ (Cleric/Bard)
Your signature, and your profile description is the most fabulous thing I've ever laid my eyes upon.
Dear God.
*Ahem*
Thanks for the welcome! That's a definitely challenge, eh? Well, at least you're friendly about it. :P
