Dreaming about Dungeons

Is it really about the boss or bosses or puzzles or challenges ?
What if its actually about, probing the group for weakness via on the fly adaptation ?
What if its about, all members of the group working in harmony and making up for each others weaknesses ?
What if its like, each member being a musical instrument and playing a compound medody of motion, action and reaction ?
Is encouraging group harmonics, what we actually strive for and test for in group dungeon design ?
And who is to say, that those harmonics must be created from a predefined recipe of a skillset ?
What if the groups conpendium of skill isnt enough and surviving long enough to meet the main objective, is the best that can possibly be achieved ?
Perhaps having to fight another day through stalemate, addressing weaknesses, is an essential requirement.
Perhaps containment is a fundamental step in a parallel process with another group with another task.
What if some actors must commit the ultimate meaningful sacrifice in the right place, in the right conditions, at the right time, for the rest to have any hope of success ?
What if that choice has real in-game personal consequences for that actor ?
Would you weigh your personal loss against the groups or communties gain.....and accept it ?
