A whole year of waiting for release D: I'm so starved for an MMO right now or just a good similar game in general. But ill be damned before I give up on waiting for what seems to be the MMO of my dreams.
Incredibly excited for this game! I only saw it just yesterday but in that time span I've soak up nearly everything I possibly could in regards to the game.
I'm a huge fan of fantasy styled games with their ancient history, powerful monsters, artifacts, exploration , crafting and combat. This so far ticks every box and more!
In every game style like this, I always play the same thing; that being mages/wizards. They have always settled so right at home with me and my play style.
I've experienced some of the best magic systems in gaming and I love to scrutinize every part of them.
(Dragons Dogma:DA, Dark Souls Series, Two Worlds Series, Elder Scrolls, Diablo are some of my absolute favorites!)
However it has also left me with this void that is hard to fill. Everything else I come across feels so sub-par in how magic is dealt within their game. Perhaps because I've experienced what i perceive to be the best of the best. I go out of my way to play a game specifically for it's magic system, everything else be damned.
I was starting to lose hope on finding an MMO that truly does this well, then I found AoC! It's not even out and i'm ADDICTED. Just the concept behind it seems like a breath of fresh air into the stagnation of cliche templates that most other MMO's are based around.
I understands it's in Pre Alpha and everything isn't fleshed out fully and that the game still has ages to go, but I love what i see so far.
As soon as i'm paid in the next few days i'm going to get in on the kickstarter before it ends. I've NEVER backed anything before but I feel like what I've seen/heard/read is worthy enough to pop that cherry.
So big thank you to the development team for everything they have done so far!
I'm hopeful, but also weary. Games these days are trending in the let down department.

Sorry to tell you but it will be longer than a year before the game is released.
Atm it's on or before 2020...
Ah well, I'd prefer they take the time they need to make it everything we hope for instead of rushing something unfinished and flawed out
I know the feeling. I'm waiting for about 5 games to come out between now and then.
But i'd also prefer them to take their time and get it right!
