WYSIWYG editor not handling keyboard input correctly

When writting a text in a WYSIWYG editor (e.g. Microsoft Word), you can move the cursor in the text with the arrow keys. Further more, adding Ctrl to the keyboard action allows you jump to the next previous word. This doesn work in the editor of the vanilla forums.

How it is:
  • Ctrl + Left = First column in line
  • Ctrl + Right = Last column in line
  • Ctrl + Up = First column in line
  • Ctrl + Down = Last column in line
How the editor should work:
  • Ctrl + Left = First column of current word, or first column of previous word, if the cursor is already at the first column of a word
  • Ctrl + Right = First column of the next word
  • Ctrl + Up = First column in line
  • Ctrl + Down = Last column in line
When editing the HTML in the HTML editor, these expected keyboard actions work fine.
So the issue is probably within the WYSIWYG editor.
