It looks like there's a good chance the KS will raise $3M so we might get the stock exchange, but, I don't understand Social Organizations. Let's say you, me, and everyone who replies to this post decide to create a social organization called The Happy YumYum Club and we talk about food and swap recipes and stuff. One day we decide to open our own restaurant so we take out a loan and people can invest in it. We build the restaurant and pay the money back, plus interest, and the investors are happy. Then we decide to make more restaurants in other cities so we ask for another loan, but then...

I decide to take all the money and spend it on weapons so I can be ALL POWERFUL! Muahahahahaa! DUN DUN DUN!!

What's to prevent me from spending the money on weapons and not a restaurant? Or just scamming the bank?

    If they get the new financial system, probably the same thing in real life. The restraunt is now part of the stock market, with the original people owning majority share and new people able to buy shares of your company.
    The money that company makes all goes into the company bank account and not the players, and they may lock that money down for use solely for paying upkeep/materials/expansion.

    Now what's to stop you from saying you make 100% of the sales -shrugs-

    From what I remember the stock exchange allows you to invest in nodes, ones you think will continue to grow and if they do you get a dividend. Also possibly the social guilds like the adventures guild etc. These again will pay dividends if the guilds continue to prosper. Like I said I'm dredging my memory for that info. But I think that is about the gist of it.
