[EU] Critical Failure (PvX)

edited March 2018 in European Guilds

Critical Failure is a friendly and welcoming casual PvX guild with a relaxed atmosphere. We run this guild as a casual guild, because we know that RL always can interfere with the best made plans. In our years of gaming we learned that we don't need to play absurd hours to get things done.

It is important to us that our members feel welcome and enjoy playing this game together. To be online should be fun and not feel like a second Job. But don't get me wrong, we also are endgame-oriented and if you want to raid with us we expect attention during this few hours.

What is Critical Failure?
Simply, we are a group of gamers. We have our roots in EQ, EQ2, DAoC, SB, Vanguard, WAR, Rift and many more games of the past.

What are your goals?
Having fun and beating content. But definitely having fun first.

What are you good at?
Playing, mostly. Our jokes need a lot of work still. We like to research classes and builds. We are good at strategies and applying tactics. And we love to group and raid.

Does CF raid?
If there is raid content we love to Raid . But we are by no means "hardcore". We usually try to raid a few times a week. Simply, if someone raids with us every chance he/she gets, we're more inclined to take him/her with us the next time. Because it's easier to raid with a team that knows each other well. We will most likely have different ranks for raiders and non-raiders.

What are your play times?
Our core team is based in Central Europe, so we usually start playing around 19:00 GMT+1 on weekdays, probably earlier on weekends.

What kind of players are you looking for?
We are looking for mature players, people like-minded to us, who in general know the value of team-work. This does not mean that we have a minimum age requirement. It means that your behaviour should be mature. We have seen adults behave like a five year old after someone have stolen their lollipop. We are looking for people who know what they do, people who can follow simple directions and still think on their own feet. You should be more interested in mastering the content together than getting better gear. And you should understand that Real Life is more important to us than any game.

What do we offer?
An open and welcoming community and a relaxed atmosphere. Fair Leadership and a drama free community.

Do you PVP?
Yes. No. That depends. We loved to PVP in WAR, both in large scale battles and scenarios. But not all of us do, so we will most likely play on an European PVE server.

Do you require any voice communication system?
We usually use Discord and / or Mumble. It is not a hard requirement, but coordination is way easier, so we would love you to at least listen in. Oh, and have a fair grasp of English, it is our main communication language.

What's with the name, anyway?
Well, whatever we do, we might not do it perfectly. But we try, and if we fail, we usually fail harder than anyone else. It's just such a rare thing lately ... Just kidding. We like to remind ourselves that we are the only ones responsible for our fails. And we do not take ourselves very seriously. Except when raiding.

Can I join?
If you still want? Sure.

Cheese or Chocolate?
We love cheesy jokes and eating chocolate. And drinking beer. Mostly. Some of us ... Huh? Yeah, you've read far enough, go away, nothing more to see... What's that? No, not the straitjacket! Not again! Oh come on, guys, don't you understand fun? After all I told the audience now? AAAAAAHH ...
