Proximity Voice Chat
One of the main themes that i an seeing throughout the design of this project is interactivity. The ability for players to interact with one another and the world around them appears to be key within ashes of creation. A useful feature that would be amazing within the game would be Proximity Voice chat... I am not sure if this is already an planned or somewhere that i may have skipped over but the ability to talk to a player walking down the path with you instead of a text chat that could get messy depending on how it is implemented would improve the gaming experience immensely. I believe this would be a great feature that would come in useful at market places and even when escorting a cart. This should definately be open for the player to toggle on and off at their own desire. How does everyone in the community feel about this?

If anyones played PUBG you will know how annoying the starting 60 seconds are, kids screaming, someone rick rolling etc.
I is confirmed as group and guild chat only.
There is no proximity chat. Hopefully we will have the /say /shout chat bubbles with different range instead though.
There is no background noise with chat bubbles. no kids screaming and shouting that cant always be helped. No trolls and griefers spamming the air waves with junk. No selfish people blasting the latest heavy rock anthem of their choice.
'Back in the day' I did use voice chat some. It seemed to work best in raids and sieges when everyone was muted except the person running the event. Just walking into a city and hearing the vendors, fish husbands shouting out wares could be fun. Hearing PC's shout out about who killed whom first and things like that... considerable less interesting. Sounds like they have a good control over it though.
the game experience easier and I do not like standing in front
of a dungeon as in other games and looking for people to join in,
with the Proximity Voice chat I can just go to the people and ask.
The same applies to the sale of goods on a market street.
