Ashes of Creation PS4 Release...

Please release Ashes of Creation for the PS4 console officially please!

Comments

  • Sorry, not going to happen. It has been asked and answered over and over.
  • Why not?!
  • My PC is too weak to smoothly run this game, must be released on PS4 console!
  • The above reasons and many others. To develop a core pc game for console needs to be done at the same time as it is being built. Developers then have to make decisions about what to cut to make the system conform to different controller types and what are currently shitty video specs from consoles. They go through all that to have Sony or Microsoft drop a brand new console 6 months from their release date, causing them to have to go back an rework stuff to get it fit their standards. Then of course there is the added layer of bullshit they get from Sony and the Xbone people about quality control and meshing with their relevant networks, and how much of a cut they get. Look at ESO as an example of how to screw the pooch. They started out as a "We are a sub only game and will never be p2win or F2p." Many of us preordered the game and bought extra goodies like the Imperial edition because these things will only be offered to people who get in early and get in hard. F2P with a console redesign within a year. I want the developers of AOC to work on the dream as realized and promoted, not wasted extra time and effort trying to fit what looks to be an incredible game when done into a very tiny shoebox of console life.
  • You can buy a computer that will run this for the same price as  PS4 and 2 games.

Look at it this way. You have probably two years to worry about buying a pc that will run this. Shove one less cheeseburger in your piehole once a week, save the cash in a mason jar and bury it in the back yard where meth-addled relations can't find it. After two years of burying mason jars in the backyard like a squirrel, dig them all up, and upgrade that potato you are currently using. Win and win. And you have a great collection of dirty mason jars on top of that.
  • you all should know that full release of AoC will be in about 2020.
there will be PS5, and your PS4 will be outdated :)
if your PC is weak now, it will be dead those times.
we all got a lot of time to buy high end  rig.

    :)

Most importantly, I don't think the Internet-Connection for some Consoles would be stable. Sure you have your "Adapters" ... but i think Wi-Fi via Notebook would be better than Console Wi-Fi.

    then again, nothing beats Ethernet-Cable
  • I am sorry but as a PS4 player I will not play this game unless it is put on PS4 games like this sooner or later die on PC and i wont be putting my time or money into a game if its only going to be on pc when this is 2019 pc is old and outdated

PC is still the highest end gaming system, please do adequate research before spouting this nonsense. Unfortunately for you, PS4/Consoles is not Ashes core demographic, nor has their been any plans for a console release.

Best of luck with console MMOs like ESO and BDO though.
  • did they ever say that we could use a controller on a pc? i am a console player, i love the feeling of the controller. my hands arent that great on pc but i hope we can still use one

  • oldie but still a goodie.

Possible, but don't hold your breath. You'd be deliberately hindering yourself anyways, it's in your best interest to spend this next year and a bit to get well acquainted with the mouse and keyboard.
  • I don't get why anyone that considers themselves a gamer doesn't have a serviceable gaming PC.

Consoles have always been (and will always be) well behind on technical specs, and mouse/keyboard is by far the most versatile control system available to us at present.

To me, consoles are the gaming equivalent of McDonalds. I mean, sure, technically it is food (gaming), but it doesn't compare at all to a real restaurant (PC).

The really funny thing to me, people asking for this game on PS4 are asking for it to be put on a system that by the time of release will be 5 years old. As an MMORPG, expecting this game to have a life of 5 years is very conservative - it could easily be double that. However, after 5 years of being live, if this game were on the PS4, the developers would be limited in what they could do by a system that was originally fairly limiting at release, and by that time would be 10 years old.

A mid range current generation graphics card has more outright computing ability than a PS4...

A new PS4 PS5 is outdated comparatively to a pc the day it is released. When PS4 came out I think it was comparable to my mid high range pc from 2010. Also pc games try to compensate for console players, they have to dumb it down ( no offense). With it being a high end mmo I could just imagine had the went to console route ( shudder). hey are not anyways so no biggy on my end. You can buy a decent used pc that will play it fine though bro

well i like to use my left hand to move around the controller with and my right hand can be on the mouse. its wonky at best but it works for me. after about 10 min left hand kills on a keyboard. i always know its a long shot but one could hope

I would like full controller support as my tower is hooked up to the main tv and I usually play from the couch.

I am working on a standing portable gaming table (for mouse/keyboard) that I can use my bar-stools with.

    1st world problems yo.
  • Most unreal titles have had built in controller support as of late, I cannot confirm or deny whether or not has it currently. That being said, controller support is much more likely than a full out console release.
  • I'm in between PCs myself. I decided to try PC gaming on a laptop (huge mistake) and it burned out on me a while back. Since then I've been playing mostly console games, heck I even play Elder Scrolls Online with an Xbox One (I used to play PC) and I love it. I would like to see a console release for AoC but understand if one isn't made. These days though consoles are running more and more like PCs (or so I've been told) and there seems to be an MMORPG hungry community on consoles. This would be something I would throw money down on if it were confirmed, even as a backer/pre-release.
