Anti farmers / gold sellers mechanism ?
World of Warcraft has a token system which is a nice approach to prevent farmers and gold sellers from destroying game's economy. What are your ideas to neutralize those pests. Yes, i know being a farmer doesn't mean you destroy the economic. But being a farmer and selling gold for real money is harmfull as fu..k for the game. By the way do we already know something about currency and reward system at all ?

Maby they will use a barter system i give you 5 chickens you give me a sword.
That said i hope they put in a hard systems goldspammers get insta perma banned so they need to buy a new game. hopefully also banning there payment system so they need to change that account aswell.
And for buyers the samething you get caught you get perma banned and have to buy a new game.
less people that buy less people that will get there account hacked by scammers and less new account will be bought to keep on selling.

Good luck spamming new accounts when you would have to set up a new bank account every time to get in the game, at least this is what i would love to see.
Everything has to go through the market.
In all seriousness, I am unsure how the Intrepid team will deal with gold farmers. My guess would be active GMs will go Negan on them. "I will shut that shit down, no exceptions." and now they have to spend more money in making new accounts. So far, that is the only response I have seen. I don't want them to add gold tokens, as wow did, because that is a pay to win mechanic and it hurts the game economy. What is the point of spending time crafting and working on an artisan class, when all you have to do is pay a little extra money each month to get all the gold you need.
So far I like how things are set up: You rise and fall by your actions and the actions you take in your community. Simple as that.
No I've never bought any gold online, it's kind of pointless to me you get all you need for free in game by persistence, I think I just had rubbish security at the time.
I'd love to hear more about the security ideas, ie two factor identification? etc etc
2. Anyone who kills them gets to loot all their equipment and cash.
3. They auto-rez in the stocks of the nearest node of reasonable size.
4. Free eggs and rotten vegetables supplied, plus prizes for the most creative verbal insults.
5. Any other PCs on the same account get an auto goldseller flag.
Unfortunately, this does not answer the question of identifying the individuals correctly in the first place, but it might be amusing!
I mind bots farming. They usually are the back ups for the gold sellers.
The same ones would be there every day. Report them and another appeared running the same courses
I used to take great pleasure in killing bots over and over when they respawned as I was farming for needed mats.
That would cause a great problem with the corruption system so that's a no no in Ashes.
What ever punishment they deal out to them has to be harsh and fast to keep up with them.
I hope the reporting system in Ashes is good. They promised REAL live GMs to be available to take care of them also. Nothing like real GMs in the world.
Long ago they were great assets for a multiple of reasons.
