i dont know about u but i going for king for sure :)
to be able to get the chance to run a city is amazing, also the flying mount that kings get omg just SU AND TAKE MY MONEY :)

    Really depends on how they decide how the title is earned. Whether through the citizenship role or the pvp role. ESO had their emperor system which was abused to high hell through pvp exploits and guild trading. (as in, we have it this week, then you pass it to us, and we make sure everyone else is locked out). So if it is node citizen/guild based probably not since there look to be only 5 at a time if the stuff I read pans out. If they go the route of basing it off of pvp scoring, going to be a lot of angry people when the inevitable "pass to my buddy" glitch is worked out.

    Along with those benefits, node type also determines the type of government that a Node has.

    The most traditional government comes from the Scientific node, which allows the citizens to come together and choose their leaders.

    The Divine type, allocates its leaders through service oriented quests, quests that directly help others and their Node, quests that prove their faith and dedication to the node.

    Economic type governments are run by an Elite Oligarchy. These positions can be bought and sold, so if you want to rule an Economic type Node, make sure your coin purse is heavier than your competition.

    Finally, the Militaristic type is rule by combat. Whoever are the last ones standing have proven their worth to lead, by iron fist and sharpened blade. These warriors can only be removed from office by citizens who are better and more bloodthirsty than they.

    That's how to become King.

    Thanks, hadn't come across that in my travels. So it looks like living on a military node will appeal most to those pvpers. Looks to be a rounded out system with something for everyone. Now to see how fast people can break it on release..lol.

    I mean it's going to be really hard for you to be King when I'm already sitting in that chair. >:)

    I'm fairly certain kings and queens relate to castles rather than nodes but I could be wrong. Anyhow if you get to be one enjoy :) I would love a king slayer title. ;)

    Hmmm, I wonder if you can be a king or a queen through marriage. That'd be interesting. I.e. if you get married to the King, does that make you queen?

    Just to clear things up for some people a King is not the same as a Mayor. A king will rule over a castle that is captured by a guild. Even though they have yet to confirm this ( I think.), the guild leader of the guild that capture the castle will become King or Queen. You also cannot gain King or Queen status through marriage. 

    Mayors are the rulers of the node and someone above already mentioned how one gains that status which depend on the type of node. 

    Castles and Nodes are separate from each other as castles will only have militaristic nodes in its Zone of Influence that can be leveled only to 4??

    Ah okay, I thought king was just referring to the ruler of a node. So a king would just be a king of a castle and those are it's own little nodes? Okay, thanks for clarifying. There goes the dream of marrying a king and murdering him.

    Yeah castles are kind of like their own node with surrounding nodes that are only military type.
