Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Phase I of Alpha Two testing will occur on weekends. Each weekend is scheduled to start on Fridays at 10 AM PT and end on Sundays at 10 PM PT. Find out more here.

Community Created Holidays

Not holidays that will have in game events like Halloween or Christmas but community created holidays like Founder's day for May 1, Dragon Festival to mark the day the servers first dragon was killed, A community made New Years to represent the day the game launch. Holidays made and run by the community with community events like mount / pet racing and cosplay / fashion contest if they turn into something that the devs want to support cool beans if not that OK so long as the community supports it / them.

    It's very possible aslong as the community wants it so much that they organise it. Maybe there will be historic server events we loved so much that we decide to reenact it every year aha Anything is possible in Ashes aslong as the community works together to achieve it ^^

    I say we have a day of the dead type holiday for the first 1000 death in the game ^^

    Many times guilds will sponsor holiday type activities games such as races and raffles or parties.  Yes even fashion shows.  Even though we  don't need support from the Devs I am quite sure they would love to see that kind of community spirit and involvement.  It seems to be one of their goals.  :)

    My hopes are that the community will come together and fund prizes for them i will put my gold up to support the growth and happiness of the community and do all i can to make as many of thees a thing a possible

    I see one problem with the first dragon slayed and so. Since it will be many servers and the Nodes will progress differently its difficult to capture first dragon slay, or even there will be other world bosses that appear in other servers and in some not an so. But a good idea is the Birthday Celebration and other cool community based Events. But also Server Wide Events could be cool, if remembered. Imagine if a Metropolis fall and sieged and they survive or not, it would be nice if the citizens remember that day, or the day the Metropolis was risen or de node was claimed, so that the citizens of that Node or Country, whatever, remember those days and make parties and events and stuff. That would be really great and server/community based and very personal, and so really exciting

    Have no fear!  Have you not noticed the party atmosphere of the crowd here?  Ale is being swilled as many more kegs are aging nicely in the Dwarves caverns,  The Bards are preparing their song and the warriors are lifting dwarves to prepare for the weight lifting contests and rogues are sharpening their knives er darts.  The finest horses in the land are being groomed for the races and the maidens are preparing the delicacies to be had by all.  And oh so much more.
