Respawning?

in Ashes of Creation Systems and Mechanics
So, if I kill an animal or monster, is it permanently dead.. or will it respawn at some point?

    It will be like in any MMORPG they never stop coming, no matter if you slay 10 or 10000 monster, but if you kill animal that is somebody property oh boy you are asking for trouble because that is probably going to be dead for ever (or until he revive's it)

    I think they respawn like standard however mobs are not fixed in the Ashes world. Some mobs are seasonal and some will only come if triggered by community activity. So different servers might see different mobs :)
    Mob difficulty also scales with the node level rather than typical zoning from start to end game zones :)

    Ooooh don't forget some mobs will be player controlled.... and they might just return in a different two legged form to exact vengeance.

    Yeap these will be specific mobs that trigger an event monster siege on (for now nodes) in which you can use a monster coin to become a mob during that event! More monster coin experience you gain during your ashes experience can unlock special skins for you etc and allow you to become bigger scarier mobs when nodes scale up! *SPOOKY GHOST NOISES *

    As suggested by @Diura and others, mobs and other things in the world aren't fixed
    Dark and malevolent beings may start to move towards your town, driven to fury by an emerging population once thought eradicated. Perhaps the trees will come to life and defend themselves when your people try to make lumber out of them. And once a world’s resources and nature are destroyed, they won’t just spawn a few minutes later for you to whack at them again. Like we said, this world changes, and it’s not always a quick change. Nothing is permanent, for ill or for good. -- Devs

    Sounds pretty exciting.

    This is one of the problems with MMO's you get a quest "Farmer Giles, has a wolf problem" so off you go and kill the wolves, 2 days later, he's back moaning about the wolves again.

    Not sure how you can make it better.

    Easy, kill Giles a feed the wolves with him and all his sheeps.  Wolves happy, Giles moans no more... win-win.

    LOL, it's just one of the annoyances of MMO's, we can't all be the "chosen one", the main baddie, can't die over and over again.
