  • GT 1030? Is there even a card like that? You got some strong PC parts. Don't know your budget but you should at least get one of the good GTX 1060s.
  • Yeah I've been looking at other graphics cards but other than that you think the game will run smoothly?
  • Well we don't really know the required specs of the game. Like i said, I don't know your budget. GTX 1080 Ti would be the safest choice for sure :p I myself am planning on getting an ASUS GTX 1060 Strix for this game and i still doubt if i can run smoothly on maxed out graphics.

Also I suggest getting at least 250 GB+ SSD if you are planning on having one SSD. 128 GB means you can only put Windows + 1 game in it nowadays. New games usually take more than 50 gigs.
  • My budget is around 2000 pounds, so a top of the range g card and 256 GB SSD is do able with everything else.

Okay i don't know how much pounds your current parts worth and too lazy to check all of them one by one :p How much do you have left for a graphics card after buying all the parts you listed except for the GT 1030 and a 250/256 GB SSD?

Depending on that amount, pick one of the following (from a decent brand):
    GTX 1060 < GTX 1070 < GTX 1080 < GTX 1080 Ti~
  • You should be easily able to get a GTX1080 and another SSD for your budget, I have 3 HD's 1 @ 120GB for operating system only, 1 @ 250GB for games (mainly) and 1 @ 2 TB's for everything else that doesn't require SSD speed, World of Tanks for example.

Just bare in mind that a PC will always have better Cooling; due to the Hardware having room to breath.  But Of course, the Portability is needed mostly nowadays
  • here comes the i9! 18 core you say?

Hold on to your money and wait for atleast 1-2 years so they can make the game and post the specs.

Why would you build a pc now all the current top hardware will be 50% cheaper in the time it needs to build this game because new hardware will come out and it would probarly still run this game on ultra.

@WinterAssassin The Unreal 4 engine will not utilize 18 cores so the i7-7700K will most likely still be the best CPU. The newer i7-6800K might be slightly better but its also more expensive.

@Ujarak  For the GPU I would strongly recommend getting at least the GTX1070, with a €2000  budget its probably even possible to get the GTX1080Ti which is basically the best GPU available and will remain great for years.

Storage should be at least 256GB but 500+GB would be better. The price of a M.2 Samsung 960 EVO is something like €270 so its affordable in your budget.

For the main components I would go for something like this.
    Mobo: MSI Z270 Pro Carbon
    CPU: Intel i7-7700k
    CPU-cooler: Noctua NH-D14
    GPU: Nvidia GTX1080Ti
    Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB
    PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 650W

That really depends on lifestyle.  I have a laptop I hardly use.  Typically only when I go on a trip somewhere.  I just can't stand gaming on the smaller screen.

If you have to compromise anywhere on this, AND if you're not currently gaming much and your main purpose in building the rig is to play Ashes of Creation, you could skimp on the GPU now and upgrade to a better one when the game gets closer to launch.  GPUs are easy to replace and get much cheaper once the next generation comes out.
  • This all looks good, as for the optical drive that is optional. If you're going to be watching movies on your pc I can see getting it, but if you do more streaming it is permissible to not buy an optical drive. You could even remove the drive from your current pc or buy a portable one, usually they cost less
  • Unreal engine 4 minimum requirements are:

    Operating System

    Windows 7/8 64-bit

    Processor

Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster

    Memory

    8 GB RAM

    Video Card/DirectX Version

    DirectX 11 compatible graphics card

So the final released version of the game will be somewhere higher than that.
As for your system idea it looks ok, as previously mentioned possibly swap up to a higher graphics card, the better the card you can put in both a) the longer it will live in your system and run what you want and b) will allow you more chance at having the graphics on a higher quality without FPS dropping too low.
One thing to consider is whether you will be happy to leave everything as is or if you will be overclocking. If overclocking (and possibly even if not I didn't do any calculations) I would be looking at the power supply as the cpu alone you have suggested has been bench tested to pull 177w at 4.2Ghz

Thats true but if you buy a GTX 1070 now and have to sell it in a year you wont get that much for it. So you would lose some money so in order to save money the GTX 1080 Ti would have to be lowered in price more.
