Dear @Intrepid, @Yaviey
I'm on your side for the paypal / kickstarter incident, I personally feel that the banks should be ensuring that their customers debit cards are suitable for todays global internet society....
I'm on your side because I'm really really hyped and enthusiastic about the game....
I haven't been able to watch any live streams before today 17/6 because I'm on the other side of the world to you.
Because most of your key giveaways have been in streams this has felt a little well, like we're nothing to care about, but I've kept the positive hype..
Today I managed to make it to a stream, I stayed awake ... it's just finished and it's midnight now... I only came because of the promise of an alpha key give away, one that I could actually participate in.
Nope, no giveaway, it's terribly disappointing and it feels like a bit of a snub.
Please please, when doing things in future, could you make more of an effort to consider your global market and not ignore anyone who's not in the US?
Hoping to regain some of that hype.

Jokes aside
Add Affrica and Asia to the list, eventhough the backers/supporters/observers are way less in those continents.
Generally, the Euro's are my player base, as people in my time zone (central mountain time) are all Zzzzing away during the times I am on.
And yes, I should be including all non us zones in this topic, Africa, Asia, Oceania etc, I'd amend the title but the last time I did that it decided to duplicate the entire topic...
I set the alarm clock for 6am but I decided to go back to bed and catch the stream later but that was also due to the fact that I wasn't planning to roll for an alpha key.
Perhaps I've got a low threshold for positive stuff. I already felt love for the non-us communities based on them saying that they will be making servers for EU, OCE and SEA.
Perhaps they just simply didn't realise, that there were players who's purpose of catching the livestreams is for a chance at one of the alpha keys and it isn't really a slight on Non-US players.
There are always chances to win keys on the forums too with random weekly draws ^^
My luck is on the negative side of the scale so I doubt I'll be winning anything on forums or twitch but I still like to try aha.
It was disappointing that there was no key giveaway last night or no warning of the lack of key giveaway but I imagine it was because @Yaviey wasn't there for some reason
I always have to watch the streams back, offline. I am not going to stay up till 00:00 for them to start.
But the June "kickstarter" will probbaly have, paypall, ideal and such.
- Stream on friday! No work for the most people the next day, so up until 1am is no big problem
- Next stream will be 3 hours earlier, awesome
And I think what @Diura said before really has to be considered. Yes, Intrepid is an US business, so the following has to be considered:
- They need work-time to finish up the stream-prep
- That leaves probably a max window of stream-start-possibility from 11am to 4pm
- the complete time-window is semi-optimal, because they simply cant make a stream at a time where the regular working adult can watch it, because... they work too, you know? So the later they do it, the better for US
- The later they do it, the worse for the rest of the world
- But in the afternoon, they at least get all US people that either finish shifts somewhat fitting AND kids that get home from school
So... 3 pm is already kind of a compromising sweet spot. The move to friday is the best they could have done for the rest of the world and 3 hours earlier is probably very bad for US fans; big bonus-karma to Intrepid for that.. it basically IS only for the rest of the world.
It looks like Intrepid is trying to accommodate people the best they can.
Nurph And yes 3pm is bad. Most people on the west coast would be working or on their way home. No happy medium for all that's for sure. I love how they really do try to balance things though. That in itself could point to the effort in a fairly balanced game. lol
I dont mind them diong 1 stream at US times then next stream 3h earlier the next time im from europe its not the best time but its alot better then waiting till 00:00PM on a friday if you have to work the saturday
You have to remember there on PDT you cant expect them to come in early in the morning or stay late in the evening just to get a show out on EU prime time.
Now im probarly giong to get massively flamed over this but they should just stop diong raffles for keys in life streams. then no 1 would care about the times and people wont get butt hurt there wasnt a key raffle or they could not make the life stream.
I don't mind having to stay up late, it's just the whole, come join us, we have treats for you!
Nah, fooled you... feeling.
I really care very little about the keys themselves, first world problem that they are....just, and I'm probably saying this because I'm English, just the lack of consideration and courtesy to not come right out with it at the start.
(If would have attempted deletion of this at 5am this morning when my day starts, more grumpy last night due to a run in with a narrow minded fool, emotions back to hype hype and positivity today, only can't delete so will let this site a gentle death.:)
Much love to all, catch up in Monday! *wiggled fingers happily and scampers*
