[Fun topic] Steven's spoilers

Steven has shown himself to be a fan of giving out too many secret, so lets say this; Steven accidentally reveals a "skill tree"/progression path/etc for ONE class (not with a peek at the hybridization of a secondary class) which would you want to see. In my case as much as I do take a guilty pleasure in playing rogue, I actually really want to see the Priest skill tree/progression. What would you like to see, or which one wouldn't you want to see? OR would you rather see some of the skills for an artisan class?

  • Anything to do with the summoner or even better the necromancer
  • I have always been a necromancer when there was one available. Much the same, I was always a paladin when one was available. My 2 favorite classes.
  • I can't wait to see more augmented skills xD I'm curious as to what primary variations we can have because of the augmentation.
I absolutely adore the fact that we have augments rather than a new skill set
I'm very curious to see cleric augments because healer specs are usually pretty standard in all mmos. Maybe cleric/mage some skills might apply a burn dot or something so you can be more dps scaled xD
The skill system is gonna be real fun in Ashes :3
  • Paladin is always a great choice. Usually I go rogue (dagger specifically), then get sick of being so squishy and go Paladin :joy: As for summoners, they have never interested me at all, personal preference I guess

Yeah, the possible combinations of classes and races and builds and augments will be pretty amazing... make me wonder how're they're gonna ensure that nothing's too broken?
  • With all of these possibilities I'm still going to be as rogue as rogue can get :joy:

I'm interested to see what a summoner brings to the table for augments
  • Paladin all the way. Then some of the more unique mixes because why not make confusing combinations when you have the options?

There still no info about Necromancy

Totally; also, I'd like to know how much doubling the main class could enhance its skills. Mainly numeric nerdy stuff, but still

I'd also be interested to know ... everything ;)  But seriously, the math of the way all of the various stats, skills and augments is going to be insanely complicated. I sincerely hope they get some top notch math people in to sort out the base algorithms. My experience with other games is if the foundational math is not right, then things will proliferate into a giant ball of crap.
  • Honestly I'd like to see some info on Cleric, too. Partly because this class in particular seems to be THE healer archetype, so any player who likes healing will probably end up taking at least a Cleric subclass. Can't say for sure without any info on class mechanics at this moment, but this seems to be the case.

Stealth / Assassination tree, or call it the Shadow Tree? Now I'd only would like to see this become available when you go pure rogue/rogue. Or an augmentation with tracker skills! For bounty hunters for example.

Anywho, I'd like to see some actual stealth mechanics, as in sneaking into some place without leaving a trace(Thieves Guild quest?) *Edit: Without leaving a trace doesn't mean kill everyone just in case.
  • I would love some more information on weapons.  They've told us they are going for a high fantasy environment but it seems the weapons have all been low fantasy,  Stereotypical swords, maces,  spears, etc.  Where are our scythes,  whips, and claws.

If the base weapon types remain limited, then there are other paths they could follow to add the fantasy element: Class (or racial) weapon augments or skinning weapons are two such ways we could get more exotic weapons. But yes I'd love to see more weapon types.

I'm try explain as best as I can xD
The boosts that secondary archerypes gives will be the same options no matter what your primary archetype is. However there are multiple augments to choose from.
Therefore mage/tank cleric/tank summoner/tank will all have the same selection of augments to choose from the secondary tank archetype ^^ so if you go tank/tank the secondary archetype tank will be the same options other primary archerypes get (and because secondary archerypes are flavours to personalise your playstyle) it doubles up on your tankness- whereas a tank/rogue might be more of an evasion tank due to its secondary archetype xD
So one skill might have an option of 10 augments options ( just an example) so there will be still lots of choice ^^
